Hi,
My name is Daniel James Rees. I'm originally from Sydney Australia but grew up in Auckland, New Zealand and have lived in Perth, Cairns and now reside in Brisbane enjoy playing guitar a great deal....especially Blues/Rock. Not very confident with my singing yet, still experimenting. 

Thanks also for taking the time to listen to me. I'd love it if anyone out there feels like adding some vocals, a bass line, maybe some keyboards or whatever else takes your fancy!! No rules really. The only rule I go by is "Does it sound good? -Yes, then keep it...No, then trash it!"...

I have also dabbled and recorded with loops and samples to create some Minimal Techno under the name of "Love Atom" if you're interested!!
I've got a great deal of lyrics without music and a lot of music without lyrics....ideas all over the place. 

Recently I've been doing some home recording and just seeing what happens really.

This is a 2 man group consisting of me (Dan) and my mate Robert. I also have some original guitar based songs that I've recorded under the name of "Geetar Dan" as well. I'm a geetar picker who loves all styles of music except lovey dovey break up songs (like Mariah Carrie & Celine Dion!) and Death Metal (if they're so in love with death go and fight in afghanistan and get dead!). I plAy an American Special Stratocaster (with Texas Special pick ups) through a Fender Mustang amplifier. I also have an electronic alter ego that goEs by the name of "Love Atom" (I have a lot of Minimal/Techno tracks I've made under that name here on Soundcloud). -A guitar player who makes Techno?!?!?....mmmmmm....this guy is weird (you must be thinking!) no, not really, I'm just a rock/folk/blues player who went to a lot of raves, that's all. Anyhow, I hope you like what I have to offer. I'll follow anyone that follows me and look forward to hearing some opinions on my tracks as well as checking out new stuff.

I'm a home based artist (unsigned) whose equipment is limited to a good laptop, lots of good software and 2TB worth of loops and samples I've collected over the years. Primarily I am a guitar player, (to check out some of my guitar playing i have an alternate project under the name of "TVcop Blues" - www.soundcloud.com/tvcopblues) so I know my music theory fairly well and I find a good knowledge of timings is important when it comes to electronic music. My main influences are dark, minimal artists with good effects like Pig &amp; Dan, but I also like progressive house (like Perfect Stranger) and progressive psy-trance (like Captain Hook) as I spent 3 months in Goa in 2007. Ultimately I'd love to make a living from making music but my main reason for making this music in the first place is to satisfy my curiosity of what I'm capable of creating. It's a challenge I guess is another reason as well as the satisfaction and happiness that a good track can relay to another listener. If my tunes can paint a picture or give a feeling then it's accomplished something I guess, so I hope that's what they do for you. Enjoy!
