The lyrics were written on 1.26.2023 at about 10 PM in Colorado Springs. This track was composed, recorded, mixed, and mastered between 9 PM on 4.19.2023 and 1:30 AM on 4.21.2023 in Woodland Park, CO. The field recording was captured in summer of 2022 at Homestead Ranch Regional Park in Peyton, CO.

First off i have to say a big Big thank you to my Son Rob for his great idea about the Pick up truck. Thanks Rob :-)  It really has added a new dimension to this little ole country tune . This is a real real " Pick me up Song " :-) The song is a  follow on song to "The Road" & " Ordinary guy. A song of Hope & friendship with a little sprinkling of Spirituality thrown in.  We all need someone to help us when we are down or Lost and in this song the " Pick up truck " symbolizes a friend or a spiritual belief. Something that we can relay on to help us through  the bad times. Just like an old pick up trunk sturdy & Reliable & Always goes the distance.
