to be great you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood.

Even if I’m not the greatest, even if I never make a mark in the area I’m in, I’ll always try. Because music isn’t just a way for me to be recognized by others. Music is what saves me every time I feel lost. Every time I feel alone I know as long as I can write, I will never walk alone. I’d say music is more of a way to vent for me than it is a way to get people’s attention. I’ve only ever written a select few songs with the purpose of grabbing people’s attention. 

I write to free myself from the burdens I put myself through. To evolve into not only a better artist, but a better man than I was. I almost quit countless times and each time always thinking “What’s the point? For who am I writing for if no one listens?” I’d watch views stay stagnant and convince myself that I was indeed the talentless hack I was either told in person or told through others comments. The truth is that if I can’t write for those around me, then fuck them. I’ll write for me. To become the man I can see so clear in my mind. To make that man not just a thought, but a reality. Thank you for those of you who listen and do enjoy my music and I promise that I’m not done.
