For our next Juicy Tunes we bring you a very, very special ~live recording~ of Twelve Seven’s set from an intimate TC party back in June!! And it was the most beautiful set to witness…   

Leighton Grantham aka Twelve Seven is a Manchester-based DJ and co-founder and resident of the growing collective 01366 as well as an absolute gem and positive force in our scene.

Finding his roots in the early rave scene, this exposure started his journey young and fast. Having made appearances at FOLD, ://about blank, The White Hotel, Pattern, Corsica Studios, Eastern Bloc, Club69 & more, Twelve Seven is an artist on the rise. Rolling, intricate & hypnotic rhythms are where his core sound lies however he is no stranger to taking the crowd on many different journeys, with influences spanning across the full spectrum of music.

If you’ve been lucky enough to catch a Twelve Seven set in person, you’ll understand why we are so excited about this artist and what his future holds. We can’t stop listening to this mix!! Enjoy babes xxx

This over-an-hour-long mix is more than just relentless kicks and distorted synths - it’s a raw emotional transmission, a sonic diary written in 155 BPM. Built in the unforgiving framework of schranz and hard techno, it charts the fragile, beautiful, and brutal evolution of a human relationship. It opens with cautious hope - soft tension, distant echoes of warmth, the kind of optimism that quietly whispers 'this could be something'. It flows into a euphoric high - a rush of passion, novelty, and shared discovery. But as the ride intensifies, the cracks begin to show. Joy and understanding start dancing dangerously close to fear, sadness, and emotional chaos.
Eventually, the storm settles - not into calm, but into cold. Indifference creeps in. The warmth dies. What once felt eternal becomes hollow. Yet even in this sonic winter, there’s a flicker of longing. A whisper of what was. The final beats carry the burden of unfulfilled hope - everything or nothing. No middle ground. No compromise. Just truth - and the wish to go back. Not to repeat… but to redeem.

DJ based in Warsaw, Poland. His adventure with electronic music started in Lublin at the early of 2016. Behind the decks since 2022. He has already played in clubs like Smolna, Luzztro, Willa or Spectrum 7. An enthusiast of faster melodies - the average BPM value is 155, and in his mixes he likes to combine heavier sounds with melodic and energetic tracks. Overall giving a full spectrum of emotions to create a unique musical adventure, during which everyone can find something for themselves. His music it's just pure energy and the principle of 'a lot, fast and strong'.

At the peak of our longest event to date on Saturday, January 18th 2025, a NYC-based selector stepped into the booth at Masada to tell a story: a journey of tension and release, brimming with emotion and passion, a romance that lingered in our memories long after. We are beyond thrilled to mark the 100th instalment of CLOSERcast with none other than Holden Federico’s live recording of his 3-hour Masada set, to immerse ourselves into that beautiful, graceful and moving experience once more.

Philly-born, New York-based producer and DJ Holden Federico is dedicated to reimagining techno by pushing its core elements to bold new extremes. His productions carry a driving low-end energy, rich thematic layers, and dub-infused detailing, all underpinned by grit and soul. As a DJ, he weaves together diverse textures, thoughtful pacing, and a deep respect for techno’s roots, shaping a modern dancefloor experience that balances the physical with the emotional.

A relentless force in the underground, Batman has been shaping dancefloors since first stepping behind the decks just at his 16. Rooted in the raw power of Acid Techno. 

His early sets at CROSSED in Szczecin propelled him onto some of Europe’s most iconic stages, from London’s legendary 414 in Brixton to Union in Vauxhall, as well as countless free parties across the UK’s rave underground. Over two decades, his sound has shifted from fierce 303 driven intensity to deep, hypnotic grooves that captivate and transport. 

Along the way, he has shared the booth with scene heavyweights including Sterling Moss, Aaron Liberator, Patrick DSP, Bad Boy Pete, Billy Nasty, Jeff Amadeus and more cementing his reputation as a true torchbearer of the underground spirit.

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. A vision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy.

Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor. However, his sense for music doesn’t stop at the edge of dancefloor-oriented Rave. It goes far beyond, right to and through the sometimes more and sometimes less subtle tides of electronic music.

This exemplarily reflects in his very own imprint, Schimmer Records, which he founded in 2019. The label has, in a rather short period of time, already evolved to a sonic reservoir of all different shades, all of which share a commonality – quality in production, love to detail, and an undeniable appeal to avid devotees of electronic music of all kinds. 

There is nothing confusing about Egotot’s take on music. It is clean-cut, it is straightforward, it is always effective. The Industrial clout, the fast groove, the merciless rigor – this is how Techno should sound in the 21st century, and Egotot is its perfect avatar.
