A veteran of the Minneapolis music scene, indie pop tunesmith Sven-Erik Olsen is the founder of bands such as Tuesday's Lifted and The Pundits. His solo debut, SKETCHBOOK TRACES (2017) has been lauded for its "deft take on the mid-to-late 60s pop sound" of the Beach Boys and its  evoking comparisons to the music of the baroque pop of the Beach Boys and the quieter side of Velvet Underground, along with the power pop of Big Star, the psychedelic pop of the Paisley Underground bands, and the textured reverb-soaked jangle of Joy Division and Bauhaus.
