Born in 1997. No talent shows, no TV appearances, only enthusiasm, devotion and passion. Kharfi gets in when real music talks, the one that from the bedroom of a 19 years old becomes bigger and bigger on-line, turning into a powerful vortex, hitting listeners from all over the world. The power of "Hei Bae" led it to overcome 150,000 plays on Soundcloud in two weeks time, to get support on Radio Deejay and to be called the favourite track of the summer on the international blog We Rave You. Kharfi already performed on important stages such as Nameless Music Festival, together with Vinai, Retrohandz and Aquadrop, getting support from international artists such as Diplo, The Chainsmokers, Don Diablo, Major Lazer, Dillon Francis and Kiesza. International electronic music blogs wrote enthusiastically about him, including NestHQ, Dancing Astronaut, This Song is Sick. Together with his project DopeSquad, he signs the official remixes of "Il triangolo si" by Fabri Fibra and "Burn Babylon" by Retrohandz & Big Fish, released on Steve Aoki's label Dim Mak, as well as the collab "I can feel this" included in Big Fishs EP released via Good Enuff/Mad Decent. For at least 2 summers, The Bearded Man’s motto was: “Be Free”. He didn’t mean it in any spiritual sense, only in the sense of that he wanted things to literally be handed to him for free. He went to Marquee day club in Vegas to see David Guetta. They wanted to charge him! He looked at the bouncer and said: “Be Free.” Bam. Free ultra super-fancy, literally-DJing-for-the-crowd VIP tickets. He wanted to get on a plane, but that ish was so expensive! He said: “I need a first class ticket to Dubai!” They said: “Ok sir, that will be $10,000.” The Bearded Man replied: “Be Free.” With that, they escorted him onto the plane, first class, free of charge. It was just that easy. He’d travelled the world, met so many cool people, done just about everything he’d ever wanted to do, all without spending a dime. But he was hungry, so he went into McDonald’s and tried to get a hamburger by saying “Be Free”. They said no. Those guys are f***ing cheapskates.
