I have carpal tunnel so this hurt like a bitch to record in one take. 
I never got around to recording the full lyrics, and it's too bad the version without traffic noise was lost.

If You Want (draft)

This is the rough recording of the original version. 
Most each unique verse line represents a past lover. 
The updated full chorus lyrics are missing, each verse was cut in half, and the last three seconds of sound containing the tape player ending and ejecting the cassette somehow got chopped off. 
This could be called a sort of "mock-up" or "place-holder", but really it's more like a ghost of the original sound idea. 
Unfortunately, all of the original recording files and sound samples were lost, so who knows when this piece will be given the recording it deserves.

This song is a weird little creature. 
Many sleepless hours of dawn-watching and early birds birthed this piece. 
I couldn't tell you how many lines were cut from the original poem to create the precise feeling you find here in this semi-final version.

We poured a lot of imagination into it.
