when you think of a cathedral, what comes to mind? personally, i imagine a beautiful, magnificent piece of architecture that is crafted and intricately designed by its creator. every little detail is extremely important...no flaws or imperfections can be found. of course, when we think of a broken cathedral, it is one that has lost all of this. its beauty and magnificence now seemingly forgotten. well in the same way, we read in genesis and romans about how God created us as perfect creatures. we were beautiful and magnificent with no flaw. yet we let our own selfish desires spoil that perfection, and what once was beautiful now lies broken.
