About The World

this song is written from the perspective of someone who took their own life, acknowledging the impact it will have on the loved ones and anyone within the circle of said individual; it's a suicide letter - an apology for resorting to such extreme measures - full of self-pity and shame, albeit confessing to themselves and the audience they saw no other escape out of their misery and pain, knowing deep inside they would do it all again if given the chance to go back, as time could not fix what they believed it was always ruined to begin with. 

Time Won't Fix

Twin Herons is a project many years in the making. Nate's first introduction to music came back in 2010, learning Christmas songs on the guitar and playing piano in the living room. By 2020, he began writing and producing his own music, gradually collecting equipment and crafting over 70 songs in the two years leading up to this debut release.

Twin Herons' music draws inspiration from iconic indie bands of the 2010s such as MGMT, fun., The Naked and Famous, and The Strokes. Other influences include Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Blur, and Tame Impala. Lyrically, Twin Herons focuses on themes of relationships, current events, loss, and dreams.

Striving to create a unique sound that complements each song's subject matter, Twin Herons avoids being confined to any one genre. "While I really hope people like my music as much as I do, if they don't, that's okay because I'm making music I like for myself," says Hedgecock.
