Starlight Therapy began as part of my graphic design MFA thesis at Iowa State University.

Each song was created with a facet of my mental health & neurodivergence in mind, and the creative process helps me to channel my energy. For each performance, I invite other musicians from our community to join me on stage and improvise with me as I play violin. Together we add upon the musical bases to create something entirely new. Improvisation allows us to exist without hierarchy and allows us to create magical moments. My goal through these performances is to diminish hierarchies that emerge between audience and performer. I hope to strengthen our community through the power of dynamic audiovisual performances.

achi（words,music)とnachi (sound produce)が2012年に結成。二人が音楽活動を共に行うことになったきっかけは、
特定の和声の響きやコード進行、また独特なアナログシンセサイザーの音色に対する興味の、本当に奇跡的な一致。
最初こそ手探りだったものの、一曲づつアイデアが作品という形になるにつれ、あるキーワードのもとに、このユニットで表現したい世界観が確立しはじめた。
それは「Lyrical Techno Pop」、日本語で言えば 「叙情的テクノ歌謡」。
この二人に共通している感覚は、「攻撃的でダークなグルーヴは嫌いじゃないけど、それだけでは物足りないし、ポップで爽やかな世界だけじゃ、
なんか嘘つきな気がする。」まだ上手に言葉にするのは難しいけど、MargaretSpoonが表現したい音楽の世界は単色、カラーのどちらでもない、
多分ダークと甘さの入り交じったマーブル状のものなのだと思う。2013年、本格的な活動を開始します。ご期待ください。
