Mark Fanciulli kick starts a prolific run of heavy releases for 2014 with an inventive and dynamic EP for Carl Craig's Planet E imprint. Released on May 5th, “chord kaoss” is yet another example of why Mark Fanciulli is heralded as one of electronic music’s most forward thinking and dexterous young producers: a reputation that is only going to flourish as the genre-defying, instinctive releases roll out over next few months.
The EP launches off head-first with the thunderous “chord kaoss.”  Pounding 4/4s and thick, driving bass provide the backbone of what is an uncompromising, relentlessly underground workout. The powerful bottom end churns away as snapping hi-hats, fluid synth stabs and deep chords all collide to create a track full of atmosphere and energy.

“Helsinki” is less dancefloor focused, taking a slightly left of centre approach to classic, Detroit techno. Rising, old school chords waft over the simmering low layers that bubble with a slower but immersive groove. Warm synths stretch over the top creating an aesthetic that is at once unfamiliar and inviting. A mere insight into Mark Fanciulli’s skill behind the desk, this EP is the first impressive work to be born out the creative fires of what looks set to be the most potent period of his career to date.

Inmotion are proud to present Mark Fanciulli’s stunning debut on the label. With just 3 years of production under his belt, few producers are as creative, or know quite how to innovate as Mark Fanciulli does The EP’s namesake The Abyss is up first, and Fanciulli challenges us right from the outset with this dark, pumping techno number. Piercing vocals and banging drums fuse in a culmination of rumbling bass that is sure to give the toughest of dancefloors a good run for their money.
Of the two big-name remixers on the package, ROD comes first. The dutchman delivers an epic take on Mark’s track, utilising every element in his own way to create a true techno record imitating sounds of early Detroit, with grand breakdowns and uplifting basslines. The grand finale of the EP comes from Greek-born Nikola Gala, who creates the most timid of mixes on this package, but still manages to keep the core peak-time feel of the track. Nikola’s remix features wandering baselines and some extremely well balanced drums to round off a peak-time package of dancefloor bombs that we’re all extremely proud of!

Following the monumental 100th release on the label from Jamie Jones, Hot Creations are set to deliver a heavyweight remix package of the No.1, chart topping Theme From S'Express from S’Express. Originally released in 1989, the acid house classic is remixed by Tuff City Kids aka Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer and Hot Creations artist Detlef.

Master remixers, Tuff City Kids deliver an Balearic tinged acid gem with a melodic touch for their take on the original, with an Acid Dub on the flip also on offer. The talented duo has remixed artists such as Arto Mwambe, Scuba, Tensnake and Azari & III to name a few. Incredibly, they have managed to maintain a relatively low profile, despite the steady stream of music they’ve released via well-respected labels like Rekids, Unterton, Delsin, Internasjonal, Permanent Vacation and Live at Robert Johnson.

Hot Creations and Paradise favourite Detlef delivers a driving, club ready version for his remix. In a short time he has released and remixed with well respected labels including Hot Creations, Relief, Knee Deep In Sound, Moon Harbour, and Defected earning support from the likes of Green Velvet, Marco Carola, Matthias Tanzmann, Hot Since 82, and Jamie Jones to name a few.
