One monster rose to the occasion and using the power of numbers, the monsters overthrew the QUEEN.
With a new ruler in order, the kingdom falls into chaos.

Onion-san takes the role of Flowey. After being exiled by Queen Muffet for "being too nosy", they've gone into hiding but are secretly finding a way to obtain the SOULs and expose the Queen for the fraud she really is.

NOTE: Back when I was rewriting this take, Onion-san kinda fell by the wayside and honestly I didn't really think too much of them. So I decided to give them more of a role in the story than just "random onion" guy. :p

Toby Fox - UNDERTALE Soundtrack - 09 Enemy Approaching

*Whoa...are you...a human?

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore II, the Betrayed Undyne ending, details an ending in which Frisk ruins their streak of pacifism right before the end, slaying the celebrity robot Mettaton on live television. Toriel has taken her ex-husband Asgore's place after his death, and she struggles to maintain morale in an increasingly wary underground. Humans are to be treated not as enemies, but as friends. At least...in theory.

In Aftergore II, rather than being greeted by a Flowey replacement or a Toriel replacement, the first thing our hero Nex sees upon falling is a horde of Ruins monsters minding their own business. As far as they're concerned, this is like seeing an alien crash land from another planet! Many of them never got to see the first human, so this is a pretty big deal! They're not here to harm anyone, just kinda gawk at our hero like a zoo animal. The usual stuff.
