Niacin lives in oxford uk and has long had a passion for edm,more so especially for old school jungle from the very early 90s . In 1987 i fell in love with "acid house" and a seed was sown. Bio-data sonification aims to turning into music the micro-currents, which are measured across the leaves of the plants or across the non-human organisms. The project was born in May 2021 using a modified version of the open-source circuit Midi Sprout. The name Ygg is the root of Yggdrasil, which is the world tree in Norse mythology. Imagining the roots as electrical wires, in digital era Ygg is a hybrid machine-plant entity that speaks through a Synth instrument.
