Richard is an articulate, charismatic performer with a warm baritone voice and a special ability to create standout, authentic characters that catch the eye and the ear of the audience. 

His travels and fascination with music, cultures and languages have exposed him to a wide variety of dialects, accents and characters. Many of which he has studied meticulously and feed back into his creative work. 

Born in Macclesfield, England, he was raised in Zambia & South Africa and returned to Manchester at 19 years old. He later went to university in Newcastle upon Tyne and returned to Manchester to work as an actor. For two years he was an notable figure in Contact Theatre’s Freestyle Mondays crew, a troupe of Mancunian Hip-Hop MC’s, beatboxers, DJ’s and producers that hosted rap, poetry and spoken word events. 

Since 2010, he has lived in London, working as an actor and voiceover artist.  Richard has also lead voice & speech training courses for actors at a number of drama training institutes in London and Manchester. He is also the founder of veryvocab.co.uk, a voice & speech coaching service that works with actors and non-actors alike.
