   Most people know of Newark, New Jersey as being rough around the edges and extreamly tough in the seams. A born resident of nwk, nj, Jameel Grimsley inhererited the name Point Blank at a very young age, and growing up in the era of artist living what they rap about the name fit Jameel perfectly.
    
    Like most young black men growing up in the ghetto Point Blank aspired to be a rap artist before puberty even approached, but with a strugglin mother, father in prison and siblings starving it was only a matter of time before Mr. Grimsley would pick up a gun, get hit with cosignment and flood the streets with drugs.

    After getting shot, being sentenced to prison terms multiple times, hit by a car and left for dead, Jameel finally said enough is enough and made the decision to pursue music full time. While many people say," we're born to die' at the age of 28 Jameel insist that he was born to live and is determined to prove it through his artistry.

He was been writing since he was 8 years old and wants to share his music with everyone. LA is where his musical journey truly began. Not only does he write lyrics but also he now creates beats and fuses them together to create something that will make you want to get up and dance. His silly, vibrant and extroverted personality gives an energetic feel to his music. His musical inspirations include B.O.B., Big Sean, and Tyga. His party, hip-hop vibe will excite everyone.
