After the break up of Jonny Martin's former band, The Uglysuit, following two solid years of touring worldwide and garnishing attention from the likes of Pitchfork, NPR and Rolling Stone, something in the back of his head clicked on...or off. That something would turn into a full time solo project unlike anything the then folk-troubadour would have ever imagined. Now Martin, who is creating tribal-tinged ambient electronica behind the moniker MANNACHINE, is due to put out his first ep in March of this year, entitled "Shiva, Destroyer".His crafting of heavily world based percussion-driven ambient electronica may turn out to be the most soulful venture he has wondered into as of yet.
