MASAKI SAKAMOTO is Composer/Pianist, MD(neurology)/PhD. Started playing the piano at the age of three. In 1996, started working as a neurologist, and also as a pianist in Tokyo. His outstanding performance in the field of jazz, he qualified as a specialist for neurology. Sakamoto formed a jazz unit "Vertige", started flexible live performance and some recordings. Then, Sakamoto formed a electronic music unit "Manic State Chameleon", and performed in an eve of the festival "Tokyo JAZZ 2002". The performance was broadcasted on TV "NHK", which is the national broadcast station in Japan. In 2003, his remix track "A point RE:view MIX" was released on "PM" (Cornelius "Point" remixies). 

コーネリアスのリミックスコンテストに入賞、アルバム『PM』に楽曲収録を機に、同時に楽曲収録されたKawatoryとともに「一切顔を合わせることなく、ブロードバンドを介したファイル交換のみで楽曲制作するユニット」"SL@yRe＆The Feminine Stoolξ"を結成。2004年、SL@yRe＆The Feminine Stoolξ名義での制作第1号の作品「Polka Dots & Sl@yremoonbeams」が、坂本龍一によるコンピレーション『DOCUMENT-RADIO SAKAMOTO』に収録される。その後、坂本龍一がホストを務めるJ-WAVE「RADIO SAKAMOTO」に生出演、ライブを披露し、その後も度々番組に登場する。2005年、Sublime RecordsよりSL@yRe＆The Feminine Stoolξ名義で1stアルバム“Phut Cr@ckle Tokyo [K]”をリリース。本ユニットはレイハラカミの記念すべき初ワンマンライブ@LIQUID ROOMの前座を務めるとともに、アルバムも爆発的なセールスを遂げ話題となった。

And in 2004, his brand-new remix "The Landsong Re-Landing" and a brand-new track "Polka Dots & Sl@yremoonbeams" by a brand-new unit called "SL@yRe & The Feminine Stoolξ" with Kawatory, who also presented a track "Kawatolius remix" on "PM", released on the compilation CD titled "DOCUMENTO -RADIO SAKAMOTO-", produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto. In 2005, Sakamoto and Kawatory appeared on the program of J-WAVE "RADIO SAKAMOTO", and performed a live with two laptops on the small table in front of the four guys including Ryuichi Sakamoto. On the end of July, the first album of SL@yRe & The Feminine Stoolξ, "Phut Cr@ckle Tokyo [K] " was released from Sublime Records. Downloading is also available at iTunes Music Store(J).

2007年8月には初のソロアルバム「ENDOTONES」をリリース。LIQUIDROOM EBISUにて行われたyanokami（矢野顕子×レイ・ハラカミ）のライブでのオープニング・アクトを務めた。

In 2006, he worked on recording for his solo project. In 2007, his first solo album titled "ENDOTONES" is released on 8th Aug. At that moment, he performed a live show as a front act of Akiko yano and Rei Harakami project called YANOKAMI. The EP "EXOTONES" is also available at iTunes Music Store. They include some collaboration with Atom TM, Yukalicious and Co-Fusion.

2010年、いくつものコラボレーションを行い長年親交を深めていたAtom Heartとの初の共作アルバム「Alien Symphony」をリリース。

 In 2010, he releases "Alien Symphony" produced by Atom TM & Masaki Sakamoto. Amazing analog and digital hybrid album. 

 2012年、ケンイシイ最新アルバム「Music for Daydreams」に参加。Ken Ishii presents Metropolitan Harmonic FormulasとしてSonarSound Tokyoでもサポートミュージシャンとして出場。同時に自身のライブ、ソロ、その他のプロジェクト同時進行中。

In 2012, He was also present on Ken Ishii's album "Music for Daydreams" and his live show as featured supporting member at SonarSound Tokyo. He is continuing his career in the field of music, and also as a neurologist specializing in brain, both in research of degenerative disease and clinical practice.
