Spell it out (First snow)

My soul is without the cells to heal this wound—
27 days will pass before my skin
even dares to forget the heat of your touch.
Yet the memory lingers, a silent ache
that settles deep beneath my bones.

It takes exactly 27 sunsets for me to unravel,
to watch my flesh slowly betray the moment
your fingers traced my name across my back.
Each day the ache intensifies—
a hollow reminder,
that though time moves on,
my heart remains tethered
to the ghost of your warmth.
