This is the first I've made using my new laptop. Why did I make this? idk, I had been wanting to make a remix of "Comet" But when I heard Hayley Armstrong's acapella of it.

This is the demo for Mr. Greg from the Steven Universe episode, Mr. Greg!

I love old timey, vaudeville-y schtick.  And Greg spending big bucks at a fancy big city hotel had old timey schtick written all over it.  While writing the outline for Mr. Greg, I came up with the first half of this tune and pitched it a cappella to the group.  It felt very silly, but it must have amused everyone enough to stay in the picture.

We started making a demo.  I had the beginnings of a bass line and the percussion, and Jeff came in and made it an actual song with some great jazzy chords and an insane guitar solo, which I'm pretty sure he just improvised.

Like I said before, the song was originally only the first verse and the instrumental.  In the outline, Greg, gets so caught up in the spirit of the music that he asks Pearl to dance, and that's when she pulls away - showing that Greg and Pearl have a long way to go.

We showed the demo to Joe, and I believe he was the one who said this needs a second verse.  And together we wrote a second verse, with Pearl singing, that incorporated those story beats into the lyrics.

this is a parody of the song "i hate you i love you" but about the animation meme community, i wrote it

it is not to offend animation meming or be like " im gon leave mems"  its just a little parody thing 

the recording is kinda bad, and i messed up singing a couple times, but oh well cause this is the best version of the recording i made
