Mothers Day 2021

A pocket operator and a mic going in to an A/B pedal so I can switch between them, going into a digitech guitar multi-effects with looper, recorded onto a digital recorder.

This was from a quick minimal setup I tried for the first time last night

This is an old stereo recording I found of me taking a walk around Rishikesh, India. I kept a recorder and mic in my bag and wanted to capture the sounds instead of taking pictures.
I walked from an Ashram, across the big bridge into the main roads of the city. You can hear a lot of things including a guy trying to sell me bags of milk, a wild dog growling at me (and a lady hitting the dog with a stick to help it get away from me), street singers, and animals.

Listen with headphones and it sounds like you're right there (sort of..)

I recorded some voice loops into a Korg KP3 Kaossilator and ran it through some effects. 
I had a Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator po-12 drum machine playing along as well.
I recorded it directly onto a Tascam DR-40.
I like the mangled, distorted sound on the vocal loops

goofing around with my kid making some ambient soundscapes and loops. We used a portable fm radio to make some sort-of rhythmic loops. we also used one of those machines that makes a soothing sound to help you go to sleep to make a nice calming ambient loop
