East Recordings label boss Pablo del Monte made waves in dance music in 2015 with a string of quality deep house releases. With 4 top 100s already this year, including ‘Anytime (You Want Me)’ which spent 3 weeks in the Traxsource deep house chart, 2016 is looking like an equally productive year for this London-based producer.

Marcha EP sees Pablo take his sound more underground and analogue-feeling, calling on an impressive array of studio hardware in the production process. Showing his range - from techno through tech-house to house - across the four tracks Pablo has crafted a disparate but cohesive body of work out of which an original artistic voice emerges.
The deep tech beats and driving Moog chords of the lead track, ‘Marcha’, are reminiscent of Terranova’s recent hit ‘Labrador’. It’s the kind of special track to drop at just the right time to send a clued-up dance floor wild. This is complimented by the more direct arrangement and 303 licks of the aptly-titled ‘Linear Acid Mix’.

On ‘B-train’ Pablo teams up with Toronto-based singer Sindu Athemi whose classic house vocal is juxtaposed against a tech-y backing track with a throbbing bass that brings to mind George Fitzgerald’s recent remix of Jon Hopkins’s ‘Open Eye’.

‘Joy’ is the most experimental and least dance floor track on the EP with its huge Reese bass, laid-back beats and a vocal refrain twisted through an Eventide Harmonizer.

With huge support for his previous releases from the DJ community, radio and the press/blogs we expect this EP to be another big one for Pablo.

SADLY WE COULDN'T FIT IT IN BUT WE CONTINUED TO WORK ON IT MORE AND HAD SOME GREAT REACTIONS PLAYING IT OUT. WE SENT IT TO BLAZE AND MANAGED TO LICENSE IT FOR OUR OWN RECORD LABEL - FMB
