Architecture Recordings celebrates its 100th release this summer with a string of standout drops for 2025.

First up is ARX099 – a powerful new remix of Kemal’s classic ‘Animation’ from boundary-pushing producer Silent Extent. Breathing new life into the revered 1999 original (ARX005), Silent Extent reimagines it with brooding atmospherics, razor-sharp edits, and his signature attention to sonic detail. The result is a hypnotic, forward-thinking take that stays true to the track’s legacy while firmly planting it in the now.

Originally released by Kemal (aka Konflict), and later remixed by Kemal & Rob Data as ‘Re-Animation’ (ARX007), this track has long stood as a blueprint for dark, futuristic Drum & Bass. Silent Extent’s version honours that while taking it into deeper territory.

Founded in 1997, Architecture Recordings remains at the forefront of experimental Drum & Bass, known for championing cutting-edge sound from both established icons and fresh innovators.

"Contruct" straight up introduces itself right away with that swinging off beat to get your head poppin , followed by dark bass and futuristic twisted leads to tickle the senses. At the center a dramatic pause with carefully constructed sounds around the whole spacial soundscape with high frequences for a momentary pause for the body before bringing it back with the intense drums and added swinging percussion to get you dancing.

German imprint Subplate are back with another deep, dark release and this time it's label boss Typecell at the controls for the appropriately titled 'Complex'. Drawing on the fine traditions of sci-fi imbued techstep, this one is all about the groove; tight drums, weird effects, and atmosphere up to eleven. Watch out for the release dropping Dec 1st at all good digital stores...
