The band was formed in spring 2014 by members and ex-members of Quiet Observer, Skruta, GAZ-66 Intrusion. We don't stick to any particular metal genre but stay under the influence of death metal, prog metal and thrash metal. Debut EP called "More To Explore" was out in 2014.

Conceptualized in 2010, Halothane was originally the solo project of guitarist and vocalist Nicholas Burrell. The four-song EP "Dissension" was recorded and released in late 2012, and the band lineup solidified shortly after with the addition of guitarist Josh Mason (Throne of Wilderness, Nazgul, ex-Neotheist), drummer Bill Rotach and bassist Joe Rotach (both of Desekrator). Aggressive yet melodic and thought-provoking, Halothane unleashes a twin lead guitar assault over a hard-hitting, precision rhythm section. After guitarist Josh Mason's departure in 2014, Halothane regrouped with the addition of Malformed guitarist Jordan Barney. The band is currently writing new material for a tentative late-2014 release.
