My name is Desoni, I got by Desy and I’m a student at Ithaca College studying Documentary Studies and Production. I’ve been passionate about filmmaking for nearly eight years, focusing on creating films that raise awareness about important social issues. This work has helped me develop strong skills in editing and organization, which I continue to refine as I grow as a filmmaker.

In addition to filmmaking, I’ve been writing music since 2022 as a form of personal therapy. Songwriting has allowed me to express myself in new ways, and I’ve created several remixes of songs like “Stranger” by Jhené Aiko and “Moment for Life” by Nicki Minaj. This journey led me to start recording my own music, using it as a way to explore and find my unique voice. While I’m still in the process of fully discovering my sound, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to perform one of my original songs during my school’s Black History Month showcase.

Looking ahead, I’m eager to continue writing and developing my craft in both music and filmmaking.
