So freaks, freggles and other freewheelin' folks, here's the Ecstatic Dance mix I played @ the magic 'Het Grote Fijne Festival' @ Ottermeer in the Netherlands, which was at an incredibly beautiful community in the middle of nature and created by a truly awesome conscious family. 

I felt so honored to get asked to play a set here, as it's organized by the nr. 1 Ecstatic Dance promoter in our country who also organizes the Ecstatic Dance festival in the Netherlands every year, so this was not just an 'ordinary' Ecstatic Dance gig, if those exist at all.

Getting booked on such a special occasion made me dig deep in my musical pockets and I decided I really wanted to stir things up, pull tons of tricks out of my hat and give people a truly blasting festival experience....and so I did! 🥳

It was such a blast to see such a warm, wicked and wild dancing posse bouncing around like a bunch of baboons in heat....haha! They truly gave it all they got and really appreciated all my weird- and wicked humor, samples and special effects as well as my rather peculiar taste of music. Or that's at least what people keep telling me and to be honest, that makes me really happy as I'm really trying to do something different than most Ecstatic Dance DJ's tend to do nowadays. After all, that's what I'm me for right? 🤪

So enjoy listening to this freestyle frolicking stark raving mad and mental Ecstatic Dance DJ-set of mine. A set with tons of variety and dope deliciousness. Originally recorded in 1999 then re-recorded in the famous Rocking Horse Studio in the Byron Shire this track contains a piece of the history and indeed herstory too! Deya Dova dives deep into her inner realm bringing out the light of her song as Si rumbles the earth with his modified Tibetan Horn. 

The central track on Si's Album "Let the Spirit Out". Recorded between 1999 and 2002 'Let the Spirit Out' paved the way for what would become Wild Marmalade. A groundbreaking album and still a classic!

In search of silence, ambient artist Hipnotic Earth has found a calling in ephemeral improvisational meditations that appear out of the stillness, linger a while, and then vanish from whence they came.
Extended Savasana is an inviting new album from the multi-instrumentalist, who has collected seven sonic journeys meant to guide the listener inward, to a place of deep stillness and even sleep. Desert Trax is thrilled to host this unique album, which almost never came to be. Hipnotic Earth's Harbin Hot Springs home and studio were destroyed by wildfire, but thankfully recordings of those very springs are a unifying feature of this collection. From the opening drones of Slow Light, into Footsteps of the Ancients, and on through Perfect Quiet and Releasing the centering beauty and quest for quiet is a truly meaningful experience.Hipnotic Earth's Extended Savasana comes to Desert Trax June 21st.
