Paris based DJ/Producer Benales is something of a veteran act in his native city of light. He’s played at Laurent Garnier’s Rex, the much-missed Concrete as well as La Station and Berlin staple Tresor. Those references should give you an idea of his sound’s direction of travel, a deep order of ascetic basslines stripped of frills as the Motor City intended. And that goes for his productions too: with names like Construct Re-Form, Sino, Freddy K’s KEY Vinyl, Mitsubasa and Analog Solutions a few of the labels putting out his work (and there’s more in the making). His keen ear and feeling for crowd have earned him an eager audience over the years, and reputation as a go-to for organisers of legendary clubnights Europe-wide. This track is believed to be an unreleased Soulwax production sneaked into "Jack In The Box", their mix of old school Chicago House records from Radio Soulwax project.
"Ess & Dee" most probably stands for Stephen and David [Dewaele]. Cover image is based upon Housetime Records label design, and there's no release with "HT 1009" as catalogue number, even though C. Chudzik and B. Revo are real people.

Born in a north french post industrial city that resembles Detroit.
I started mixing in the nineties in Belgium. At this time i was a resident D.j of a club named The Heaven (Mackensie records) during 3 years.In the mean time, i was working in a vinyl shop called Music Line. Passionate by snowboard, i decided few years later to change a part of my life and moved to another city next to Geneva (Switzerland).I began mixing minimal music in a small club from Annemasse "Clos 14" and by the way i met some influent people of the Geneva electronic scene, such as Lionel who is the man in charge of the Littlehouse family.During this time i was used to work in many alternative places in Geneva such as Crem club, Jack's house, Piping, Piment Rouge, l'Aiglon, L'Usine, La Ruche (Lausanne), Formbar (Berne).
Back in Lille i joined the etik club resident dj crew.
