Summer 2021 German deep house imprint Déepalma Records returns with its next Ibiza album, split into three captivating mixes from label boss Yves Murasca and Déepalma favourite, Rosario Galati.

A seasoned Ibiza veteran, Yves Murasca’s ability to resonate the true essence of the White Isle on all previous album editions has remained unwavering. Returning for 2021, he enlists the creative input of Sicilian artist and household Déepalma regular Rosario Galati once again to perfectly re-capture the musical embodiment of various Ibizan soundscapes in the form of three individual mixes.

Sunset Moods encapsulates the island's transition from day into night, with a mix of refreshingly groovy cuts and deeper driving sounds from the likes of Tube & Berger, Eelke Klein, Maya Jane Coles, Andhim, Kölsch and many more. Next up, Pool Party Grooves recreates archetypal poolside dancefloor moments with uplifting melodies and prolifically rhythmic selections from artists such as Claptone, Purple Disco Machine, Milk & Sugar, Jimpster, David Penn amongst others. Lastly, Beach Feelings delivers a steady flow of more laid back and nonchalantly cadent electronic sounds, perfect for carefree days under the sun, with music from Mousse T., Michael Gray, Mattei & Omich, Babert, Giom and more.

Sometimes the best dance tracks break the rules musically. That was the case with Gianmarco Limenta's "Doesn't Matter". Sam Dexter tried to get me to sign it to GU. I initially said yes but then thought it needed some A&R. I had a look at the track and realised it was in two separate keys. For some reason, I tried to "fix it" by putting everything in the right key. In the end, I couldn't and so passed on signing it. However, Sam still loved it and released it on his Hungarian Hot Wax label. It has gone on to be his label's best seller and is still in the Deep House top 10. It reminded me of a valuable lesson I learned early on; if it feels right, it is right! Thankfully, Gianmarco came back to us with this new monster for GU. "Tonight" is a super dj friendly deep heater with a killer groove and beautiful vocals. Dive in!

Earlier this year, one of the most special releases on the label saw release.
A Dutch/South African team up, born during the lockdown, and a bit of an experiment from both Singer/Songwriter Tanya van Schalkwyk and DJ and Producer Ruben de Ronde. 

One of the most played artists in the lockdown streams is Moscow based Kostya Outta. His deep, melodic sound signature is like a warm blanket. He took the original elements of 'Lose Yourself' and made it a sexy dance-floor house track.

The artwork is created Stacey Yamada, USAGI & ME, the creator of BLUE, the official mascot of Team Liquid. If you pay close attention, you will see Blue making an appearance on the artwork too!

Above & Beyond share their Deep Mix of ‘Almost Home,’ their most recent single and first joint effort in over four years with long-time collaborator Justine Suissa.

‘Almost Home’ was Above & Beyond’s first club track of 2021, arriving just in time for their Group Therapy 450 milestone show at The Drumsheds London in early September. The trio premiered their deep mix of ‘Almost Home’ in their warm up set for Group Therapy 450, recorded in Hackney Canal, London. Group Therapy 450 was Above & Beyond's first headline show in over a year, with the band performing to 10,000 fans in person, plus tens of thousands more online. Both sets have been uploaded to YouTube, racking up nearly a million views in less than a month. 

Jono, Tony, Paavo and Justine have been working together since 2000 when they formed the group OceanLab. In 2008, they released their first and only album ‘Sirens Of The Sea’,a record that has gained near-mythical status among trance fans. More recently, Above & Beyond and Justine have collaborated on club hits like ‘Alright Now’, ‘Cold Feet’ and ‘Another Chance’, and emotive, downtempo records like ‘Little Something’. Acclaimed Dutch duo Tinlicker (Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achthoven) have released their stirring new single ‘Be Here and Now’ on London based independent label Anjunadeep. The single release is accompanied by a music video directed by Julius Ponten and starring Dutch actor Werner Kolf (Wolf, Gangster, Vechtershart). 

A collaboration with vocalist Nathan Nicholson, who has previously worked with Claptone, Kiko Franco, and Hannah Wants, ‘Be Here and Now’ presents as a part ballad, part progressive house anthem. Featuring the ecstatic builds and strings that have become synonymous with Tinlicker’s hair-raising sound, the single invokes the emotions of looking back at what once was. On the single, vocalist Nathan Nicholson explains:

"When Tinlicker first sent me the instrumental for this song, long before they gave it rhythm, I fell in love with it - just piano and strings. It was very powerful and a lot of the lyrics and all of the melody came out on my first pass. The lyrics are about a longing for the past and the innocence of growing up. I lost my mom when I was eighteen and within a year moved from Tennessee to England, so my childhood into adulthood has a very strong line running in between. I'm in a constant war with nostalgia - the other life - and where I am right now. In this song I'm simply telling myself to have reverence for my past, but not to be beholden to it. A huge thanks to Tinlicker for asking me to be a part of it.”

‘Be Here and Now’ joins Tinlicker’s esteemed catalogue, which includes their 2019 album ‘This Is Not Out Universe’ which saw support from the likes of Pete Tong, Ben Malone at Kiss FM, SiriusXM Chill, 538 Dance Department, Slam!, and Sunshine Live, as well as prolific producers such as deadmau5, Gorgon City, Cassian, Eli & Fur, Lane 8, Dosem and Edu Imbernon. 

Having individually honed their skills as part of a world-renown drum and bass act Black Sun Empire (Heyboer), and as a producer, songwriter and music editor for many artists (Van Achthoven), Tinlicker has quickly become a household name in the world of electronic dance music. Their single ‘Because You Move Me’ is currently #20 on the German radio charts and has accrued over 100M Spotify streams, whilst their rework of Robert Miles recently hit Beatport #1.
