After almost 20 years of providing top-tier electronic music events in San Diego, California, we have decided to take our love for electronic music to the next level. As of January 7th, 2022, United By Bass will now have a new extension of our passion, United By Bass Recordings. Our focus is to discover and deliver innovative and inspiring music from all genres that encompass our industry.

Often, the best music is music that inspires artists from all walks of life. Some of the best music to date is music that was made by an artist in a specific genre, but was discovered as a remix from a different artist in a different genre. Our vision with United By Bass Recordings is to release music that is remixed across multiple genres of electronic music. Each release will feature a song from one artist as the focal point, accompanied by three remixes of that song from three different artists in varying genres of electronic music.

We are inspired by all of the incredibly talented artists pushing the scene forward, and we are ecstatic to share music that moves us with you. Thank you for all that have supported us and continue to support us on our journey. We are all United By Bass.

▣ BACKGROUND

Costélus, a Colombian producer, performer, and curator based in Valencia, shapes music as atmosphere engineering—ambient, drone, and techno conceived with a cinematic, spatial sensibility. His work focuses on texture and presence, opening the listener’s consciousness into immersive sonic fields that look directly toward the next decade of sound.

Alongside his artistic practice, Costélus runs @orbitandorecords, a platform and community dedicated to deep electronic exploration, publishing works with a distinct identity and a multicultural scope.

Oscar Rosmano is a Portuguese-Mexican electronic music DJ and event promoter based in Lisbon, Portugal. He began his DJ career in 1998, inspired by the Global Underground series, and by 2000, he was hosting his own radio show in Évora, Portugal. In 2002, he founded a gogo dance team called Exotic Angels, which led him to perform across Europe, enhancing his ability to engage diverse audiences. 


Throughout his career, Rosmano has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Dimitri Nakov, King Unique, Dave Seaman, Kasey Taylor, Pena, Khainz, and David Morales. He has performed in various countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Portugal. 


In addition to his DJing, Rosmano has been involved with Fashion TV parties and served as a host DJ on the Fashion TV Boat around the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas during 2006-2007. He is also the founder of the record label For Your Mind Records. 


Currently, Rosmano owns and manages several venues in Lisbon, including Temple Club, The Lounge - Sports Bar & Bistro, and Photus Club. He continues to influence the electronic music scene through his performances and event promotions.

With over a decade of dedicated experience in the performing arts, Yann Longchamp is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice lies at the crossroads of electronic music production and DJing, immersive audiovisual scenography and live performance. Rooted in the underground of club culture, his work has evolved into a rich, interdisciplinary universe that merges ambient techno house & fusion jazz into immersive sonic experiences.

His solo music practice unfolds as a meditative journey through deep textures and hypnotic pulses, crafting live acts and compositions that open to ritualistic and spiritual otherworlds. He is a founding member of Shelter Twins – a live techno and house duo with Timour Nigolian and created the performance Tethered Lines with Joshua Chiundiza, a poetic experiment blending dub, Berlin School and spoken word. Recently he joined the ambient jazz quartet Mega City Paradis alongside Louis Matute, Eloi Calame and Olha Semchyschyn.

We are in the magic 80s, a small room, a few colored lights, a strobe, teenagers clutched together dancing a slow dance.
Outside the room, in the parking lot, motorbikes stacking up, fast legs wanting to get in ... there's a dance song on now, the party is increasingly animating. Roman, at the console, juggles between a stereo consisting of a turntable and two tape players, occasionally he flicks the lights on and off, the athmosphere is increasingly ... hot ... and there the passion for mixing was born.

1989 Dj Roman leaves the room, his vinyl is touched by the pin of MK2 of the Maxim Bodio’s disco where he becomes resident DJ. 
Four years later he moves to Lausanne, his sound is at the Scotch Club. 

1997 new city, Fribourg: Dj Roman plays Cribblet, Vertigo and Absolut, and it is here that he experiments, observing and working with DJs such as Danny Buddah Morales, C.J.Machintosh, Benji Candelario, Michi Lange, Boris Dlugosch and others.
Ticino calls, disco Lago Club Ascona wants him as resident DJ and, at the same time, he starts his radio program "Club Dimension" on Radio Studio Star. 

Y2k, the year of the bug and, with the Nexxt Groove Movement, he leaves for Zurich'. The first wagon from Ticino taking part in the Street Parade, offers house music with DJ Roman, Marty Dee, Nick Nash and the great Danny Buddah Morales.
There Roman decides to go from the street to on the road and leaves for a trip. He and his records around the world. During this trip he plays in Bangkok and Ko Pha-ngan (Thailand), Tokyo (Japan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). 

Contaminations and experiences enrich Roman's vinyl who, after having elaborated the various sounds met while travelling, comes back to multicultural Switzerland and begins ... with his Sound.
