I wrote this track one year ago for my last Exam in Electric Guitar. The jury liked it very much. so I decided it was time to record the song. Only two guitars, nothing more.

Perpetual Motion

I composed my Oboe Concerto in summer 2025. The concerto (3 movements) has a duration of about 23':30'' minutes. The premiere is still open. All suggestions are welcome . . .  The work will be published by EDITION KUNZELMANN (CH) in the course of 2026.

OBOE CONCERTO (for oboe & symphony orchestra) - 2025

The ‘ Klosebierg - Marsch ’ is a traditional, simple march, which was written by the composer in 1998 in order to gain further experience with the composition of brass music. The title comes from the composer's local neighbourhood: as he lives in Klosenberg Street, he came up with the idea of giving the march the name of this street.

The work was commissioned by the Syrdall Festival. It is a piece for classical orchestra, i.e. strings, two oboes, and two horns.
It is the composer's first work for orchestra and was written in 1990.

Phonastram

FLASH UP! is a work commissioned by the Bascharage Music School (Luxembourg) to mark its 40th anniversary. The work was written for wind orchestra in March 2005, and the composer took great care not to make it too difficult, as it was intended for a youth wind orchestra. The work is characterized by a theme that is presented by the horns at the very beginning. This theme is then taken up by the trumpets, then by the clarinets, and culminates in a grand fortissimo. The central section, “Poco meno mosso,” is very melodious and is played piano. The first theme reappears and a coda concludes the work. https://lucgrethen.com
