Traum has decided to build up a label which is a 100% "non DJ label". It has been on our mind for years and we finally made the decision to start with it and choose Mexican artist Mig Dfoe to kick it off. We really felt the need to build up a label which releases music that keeps away the pressure of the DJ world. We initially started that way with Traum, now 12 years later, the time has come to regain that kind of feeling. So here we are establishing Zaubernuss.   Zaubernuss (eng. witch hazel) is a tree that blooms in winter... one of the very few plants that actually does that. The logo is a spade with a bird digging deep in the dirt. We think it expresses perfectly our philosophy to dig deep for innovative music of young producers who feel that they need a label which looks for innovative music with no rules, but at the same time offers a big history of music and connections worldwide.

Florina Speth, born 1983 in the mountains near Salzburg, started playing the cello and piano at the age of 6 and began studying music at the “University Mozarteum Salzburg” when she was just 11. She won several prices playing solo and string quartett ensembles, was part of orchestras like Bayerisches Landesjugend Orchester and Salzburger Junge Philarmonie all over Europe. Always keenly interested in contemporary music, she was part of performing ensembles in lots of world premieres.

In her PhD she investigated the role of sound in robotic rehabilitation. She has been working as Postdoctoral researcher on Music, Machines and the Human hand. She has been working as a futurist, writing books on the 22nd century and future of health. These days she holds a professorship in Digital Health in which she tackles the humane tech-potentials for the silver society.

She loves bridging experimental arts with science to get inspiring output. In current live performances she works with cello and synths.
