Now an established force in contemporary Techno, Mike Bierbach, better known under his stage name Rødhåd is someone who has seriously put in the work. Having cut his teeth DJing as a relatively unnoted (but well loved by those in the know) local in Berlin for 10 years, one could argue that by the time success knocked on his door, he was more than ready for playing the international stage. It was during these 10 years of obscurity when he refined his craft to become the singular DJ he is now. 

Launching his party-series-turned-label Dystopian in 2009 was what truly tipped the ball over for Rødhåd. In a time where the Berlin scene was heavily oversaturated by fluffy, miscellaneous dance music, he & his peers set out to form a platform for real techno. The reception to this was raucous. 

Although he has lauded productions and remixes to his name, DJing is his true forte. Before abandoning his day job as a draftsman in construction “The Red” (as some call him due to his gingered, bearded appearance) was known for playing very long sets in Berlin’s most notorious hideaways. 

With an album, several EPs & remixes for a multitude of different artists under his belt, Rødhåd the producer has received equal praise as Rødhåd the DJ. Dystopian has hosted most of his releases, but in 2018 he founded a new label WSNWG that serves as a home for collaborative productions, excavated in sessions at his East-Berlin studio with his peers such as Lucy, Alex.Do, & Antigone.

Once upon a timeless enigma, within the depths of a fathomless forest, there existed a pair of audacious wanderers, veritable peripatetics of their own design. A yearning for boundless freedom surged through their souls, an eleutheromania that ignited their spirits like untamed wildfire. Their nomadic existence, perpetually in flux, was an embrace of life's kaleidoscopic wonders, an eternal dance with the unknown.

Their journey was anything but a seamless thread, with restless tendrils perpetually twisting. A disquietude consumed them, an unyielding ache for something elusive yet vital that left them feeling untethered and lost. In spite of their struggles, the couple clung desperately to their nomadic lifestyle, but their quest for novelty and daring often led them astray, delivering only the drab and the disheartening. These two souls sought enlightenment, to transcend the ordinary, yet found themselves ensnared within the monotonous web of dissatisfaction, pressing down upon their weary shoulders.
 
Through desolate lands they roamed, devoid of vibrant hues and swirling patterns, crumbling the foundations of their belief, that the mystery they once sensed was but a fleeting memory. The air felt heavy and suffocating, disharmonious and empty of melodies and, with each passing day, the couple's flicker of hope dimmed further. Their dreams of the interwoven threads of existence withered, becoming naught but folly and futility. 

Amidst the despairing search for solace and contemplations of failure, a tender revelation began to bloom within. Perhaps their pursuit of perfection had blinded them to the beauty of fleeting moments and ephemeral joys that life bestows. Slowly, as a new path unfurled before them, they started to journey with a heightened acceptance and appreciation for life's untamed and capricious nature.

These two adventurers, intertwined as if cosmically fated, beheld the universe with unyielding reverence, their insatiable wanderlust propelling them deeper into the verdant labyrinth. They became forest-bound vagabonds, threading their way through life's intricate tapestry, their hands forever entwined.

Within the recesses of their beings, an innate comprehension of the sublime germinated — a mystical understanding that interconnectedness pulsated through every fiber of existence. Their spirits resonated with a numinous aura, the sacred essence suffused within all things. As they traversed the enigmatic realm, fellow seekers crossed their path, and the couple beheld the radiant benevolence and love exchanged between kindred souls. The very fabric of their existence reverberated with the enchantment of the woods, their souls merging in harmonious flight.

With each stride, their hearts brimmed with a euphoric eudaimonia—an ineffable contentment and bliss. It was then that they discerned the purpose that lay enshrined within their lives: to immerse themselves wholly in the enigmatic embrace of the sylvan sanctuary.

Yet, an ephemeral whisper of onism seeped into the caverns of their souls—an intimation that a grander tapestry awaited their weaving. While their love for one another and the forest remained steadfast, an ineffable yearning whispered ceaselessly, affirming that their journey remained far from its denouement.

One fateful day, their serendipitous spirits guided them to an ephemeral clearing nestled deep within the heart of the forest—a sacred sanctuary reserved for sacred rendezvous. There, beneath the ethereal moon's embrace, nature's symphony infused their veins, and they reveled in the resplendence that enveloped their surroundings. Within the depths of this sacred hollow, they unveiled clandestine wonders that murmured secrets of unity and interconnection.

As they immersed themselves in the language of nature, their perceptions of music transmuted. No longer was it confined to the realm of mere audibility. The trees swayed, their branches entwining like the melodic strands of a celestial symphony. Babbling brooks cascaded over the rocks, their cadence akin to a soothing lullaby. The birds and insects, with their calligraphic choruses, blended seamlessly into the opus of the wild. The very air quivered with a symphony, a subtle harmonious resonance that entwined with their souls. It was as though the forest itself unleashed a melody, a song waiting to be unraveled, and they yearned to be its audience.

Fueled by this epiphany, the couple embarked upon a novel exploration of music, seeking to capture the essence of the forest's harmony and exalt the interconnectedness that permeated all things.

Each sound bore a message, a hidden symphony awaiting its conductor. The nuances of the forest's voice revealed themselves, and their hearts swayed in synchrony with its rhythm.

Thus, the couple ventured forth, guided not only by their ardor for nature but also by the melodies that resided within their hearts. With instruments in hand, they became emissaries of harmonious ardor, ready to bestow the gift of music wherever their peripatetic odyssey led them. With every note that cascaded from their fingertips, they wove threads of harmony and love, casting forth ripples of joy that unfurled in their wake.

News of their transcendental musical prowess echoed through the forest, whispered from ear to ear by creatures of diverse species. Beings of all shapes and sizes, enticed by the transcendent melodies, flocked to the sacred clearing. The dancers, resplendent in their enigmatic movements and hypnotic melodies, elucidated that Coddiwomple Wabi-Sabi celebrated the beauty found in imperfection, an ode to serendipitous exploration.

Enraptured by the dancers' ethereal grace and entrancing melodies, the travellers surrendered themselves to the fluidity of free-form movement. As they twirled and leapt in ecstatic abandon, an ineffable sense of liberation unfurled within, an unbreakable connection to nature coursing through their veins. The travellers embarked on a journey unparalleled, a labyrinthine exploration of bewildering beauty, encountering the most wondrously unfamiliar and embracing the kaleidoscope of cultures that painted the world with new hues of perception. In their odyssey, they encountered the novaturient, transformative ideas akin to the ever-shifting tides, and forever embraced the wisdom of acatalepsy—that knowledge, in its essence, remains uncertain, forever eluding complete comprehension. Within the realm of Coddiwomple Wabi-Sabi, they discovered a lodestone for their souls.

As their wild dance continued, guided by the forest spirit's gentle tug, an ineffable sense of déjà vu settled upon their journey. Familiarity intermingled with novelty, heightening their senses to the eternal present. They discerned that their pursuit of joy and meaning, although imbued with great delight, held a void yet unfilled. Amidst their explorations, they came to realize that music alone could not emancipate their spirits completely.

A deeper purpose beckoned them, a profound connection where music and purpose would meld harmoniously. With open hearts and kindled passion, they ventured forth, their spirits ablaze with longing.

In an embrace of unbreakable bonds, they understood that they had finally discovered what they had sought all along: the essence of life, nestled within their love for one another and their symbiotic communion with the forest.

For their love was an unwavering compass, guiding their way, leading them back to each other, where together they would sway. In the symphony of life, their souls danced as one.
