dear me, 

today is the last day that you are 22. You are entering a period of growth after losing someone you considered to be your true love. You are currently grieving but found something thru your new found friendships and adventures. You are at a point in life where you have matured and your consistent silence has given you a sense self and worth. Even right now, your views and ideas are shamed and mocked but you still pushed and persevere thru adversity and consistent aggression. I dont know if you'll read this again nor do I know what your future holds but dont forget where you came from. You recorded this song in your 2007 Ford Escape hybrid on top of signal hill with your best friend ben in the passenger seat. it took you almost 6 months to write this verse. and as you write this its the day before your 23rd. You made it as you always have and continue to even when the darkest nights and brightest days have tried to swallow you. you would be nothing without those around you that love you and those that are the true writers of these songs for they and you experiences have shaped this unorthodox
life. Pen and pad, Heart and mind.
