Hailing from San Francisco, California Ukemi looks to be one of the breakout artists of 2024. A student of dance music’s famed Icon Collective ( Slander, NGHTMRE, Jauz, SNBRN, Kayzo, Kompany ) Ukemi’s sound blends hip hop percussions with the synthetic sounds of electronic music with organic hooky vocal riffs and chops.   
The name UKEMI is a reference to the martial arts technique of breaking falls. It’s symbolic of rolling with the flow of momentum while still hitting hard; a mindset that reflects his approach to music and life. His highly visual brand identity is inspired by nature and the outdoors mixed with themes of technology, street art and self reflection. His influences drive his inspiration and his unique sonic recipes make Ukemi a true individual. If Flume, Keys N Krates, Mr. Carmack, What So Not, and Troyboi had a baby Ukemi would be him.
