Being idependent has so many advantages, one advantage is the ablilty to put out music when you want to. I literally was inboxed by Phoniks at 6:44 a.m. today. He spent all night putting this remix for Street Saga together off Return to The Golden Era. When I heard it I knew we had to make a move and put it out because at the end of the day its all about bringing the art to the people. We will continue to supply dope music and art with innovative ideas and an out of the box style of thinking. The amount of support you all who listen have given us is unmatched, and proved to us that we may never need a label again as long as you all continue to spread the word and the good vibes we have been giving off all over the world. Thanks to you, Return to The Golden Era was deemed a classic by many, Stories From The Brass Section by Anti-Lilly and Phoniks is buzzing! The Tiff the Gift remixes are getting spread! Dephlow's Lost Girls blew the fuck up, and I know you are all hyped for Dephacation which is almost finished. Its been a great year so far and much more is to come. The idea behind this track came from a documentary on Liberia I saw that really had me bugging out in regard to how war torn and impoverished the country was. The documentary reminded me of the violence I have seen in America especially in the inner-city. We wanted to make a point that guns don't kill, people make the decision to do so. Dephlow also highlights the social injustice and racism that corrupts our judicial system all layered over a haunting piano laced track by Phoniks!
