The most overtly techno-infused track on Airsongs, Dune Swirl hits with a driving 160 bpm beat right just as you start to get comfortable — firm, grounded, almost reassuring. But around it, chaos gathers. Scratchy, abrasive wind textures crash in from the edges, drawn from the same sonic world as Whirlwind but twisted into something darker. Themes resurface — stabs, swells — but this time they feel frayed and unstable.

At 6 minutes and 39 seconds, it’s a tightly coiled storm. Moments of clarity arrive when the chaos drops out and the beat stands alone, offering a false sense of safety. Then the winds return, jagged and unpredictable. The breath at the end — the hallmark of these Airsongs — is there, but it doesn’t get to finish. It cuts off, abruptly, like a gust caught mid-sigh.
