Glass Desert

Here comes the closing chapter of the Fahrenheit Project Collection; a series of hypnotic and cinematic soundscapes which take the listener on a deep and fluid journey through warm downtempo grooves, psybient and uplifting atmospheres. 

Part Seven presents exquisite tracks from international artists such as Asura, Solar Fields, Scann-Tec, Field Rotation, Maurizio Piazza, Hol Baumann remixed by Max Million and talented new comers to the Ultimae realm, Cygna, Gaiana and Astropilot. Circular join in and pay their tribute to Norway's "Green Poet" Rolf Jacobsen with words from "Landskap med gravemaskiner", courtesy of his family.

Passionate about the concept of pollination and how it transposes with music, sounds, technology and humanity, Vincent Villuis recorded and gathered moments of his life as he walked through cities, fields, seaside and airports. Back in the studio, he introduced these field recordings in his electronic compositions to yield tracks that are eclectic yet retain a common essence. In this configuration, man and machine are both pollinators and pollenizers; music is the pollen.

In order to deepen the relationship between us anyways, we created a beautiful EP around this track, with remixes by the Oddness, Lente and Ouhana. Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
