Vincent Villuis lifts the veil on a vibrant album filled with a fragile melancholy and yet refreshing intensity; as always altering and fusing light and darkness while playing with the idea of close and distant environmental resonances. 

His music has taken a new depth, enriched by his encounter with German composer Christoph Berg and his experience as an "artiste en residence" at Les Dominicains de Haute Alsace, an ancient cloister revamped into a music hall where the artist ambled within the walls to record echoes and atmospheres and infused them in his compositions. 

All along [ Perimeters ] atmospheric electronica flirts with neo-classical space music, warm downtempo grooves and basslines roll upon hypnotic pads, fragmented drums imprint beats into still and ecstatic layers of field recordings and subtly AES Dana throws in pushy and enthusiastic progressive trance bringing a driving force to the musical journey.

French composer Vincent Villuis aka AES Dana follows up on his highly acclaimed [ Perimeters ] album released in 2011 with a vibrant and powerful opus titled [ Pollen ] which presents 10 tracks fusing IDM / Downtempo, Deep Tech and Progressive Trance. 
A cinematic album which offers new perceptions of the work of the composer who weaved symphonic pads into deep bass grooves and haunting themes while bringing out a certain melancholia brushed by stratified rhythms. 

Passionate about the concept of pollination and how it transposes with music, sounds, technology and humanity, the artist recorded and gathered moments of his life as he walked through cities, fields, seaside and airports. Back in the studio, he introduced these field recordings in his electronic compositions to yield tracks that are eclectic yet retain a common essence. 
In this configuration, man and machine are both pollinators and pollenizers; music is the pollen.

A rolling bass line from the very beginning.
No rest and no compromises that is how we no the dancefloor tunes by Rafael Cerato. Grooving synth lines and a dark vibe in it will bring the right club feeling. The collab with Anton Dhouran and Jonatan Backelie as singer is more deep and melodic. Starting totally chilled and soulful this track will be the right one to come down. At least “Torino“ with Martin Kremser brings some bleeps and epic breaks. The sun is back and we can’t wait to dance outside to this tune.

Vomvo is back with a cinematic story by the Danish artist Pete Oak. He is definitely one of the men to follow this year. Pete presents an amazing selection of pure electronic sounds giving his personal touch and offering his own soundtrack. Vomvo is a conceptual album created by Sincopat that gives a different artist every year the chance to orchestrate a personal vision of his sound. Darlyn Vlys was the first one to develop this concept and AFFKT continued last year with another stunning collection. In 2007, we have Pete Oak as the leader, so let's enjoy the journey: "For this VOMVO I wanted to create a dark, melancholic and emotional mood. I’m a big fan of the dark aspect of house music. For me it brings out a lot of emotions and joy - it pulls me into a small universe with no worries, no hate, no pain and no Donald Trumps - only love”. “All the music is handpicked from producers that I have worked with in one-way or another. Big and small artists - all of whom got something unique to bring to the table. I’m really thrilled and proud with the result. A big and special thanks to SINCOPAT for this opportunity – it is a great honour!". Vomvo 03 is a timeless album work and selection handcrafted with care and love by Pete Oak for Sincopat. Ultimae proudly presents the new remastered edition of Connect.Ohm's first album "9980" a subtle and emotive story born of the musical encounter between Hidetoshi Koizumi aka Hybrid Leisureland and Alexandre Scheffer aka Cell.

The nine tracks on "9980" compose a serene ballad in atmospheric realms where finely chiseled rhythms and fluid melodies are sustained by discreet downtempo grooves and deep drones. 
Koizumi’s widely spread, otherworldly, organic, sustained wizardry, compliments Scheffer’s spiraling, liquid, delicate yet sumptuous acid ambient type architecture. This combination creates a kinetic and spacious tapestry that stimulates the mind and soul. A pure delight for vast soundscapes audiophiles.

Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
