Ultimae Records is thrilled to present Fahrenheit Project Part 5. 
11 panoramic tracks for better days selected by the Ultimae Team and mixed by Tajmahal. 

Opened by newly reformed Jaïa, this new collection of unreleased ambient anthems presents the latest works of our in-house artists Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Hol Baumann, Aes dana and Cell but also Great Leap Forward, Aural Planet and a new project : SYNC24. 

As always in the compilation of this series, the journey takes you from downtempo trance to deep and acid ambient. Mixed by Tajmahal, famous for his chill out sessions at parties and festivals across the world like Zoom, Ypy Poty, Morrocco, Naturalp, Hoffmann party, Shivamoon,...and mastered by Huby Sea.

Albedo is a concept compilation where all tracks contribute to a single unified story. On his first official mix release on Ultimae Records, Nova has selected a kaleidoscopic array of new panoramic tunes with a strong cinematic feeling and a common fil rouge that tells a story of light beams falling on Earth, reaching different corners of the planet, from natural lonely environments of forests, empty shores and arctic landscapes to more busy urban cyberspaces ending in an ethereal, tribal yet meditative sunset. 

Included in the compilation are established in-house artists such as AES Dana, Solar Fields, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Hol Baumann and Sync24 alongside other well known and respected projects within the international ambient music realms : Ishq, Ochi Brothers, Vir Unis and Antonio Testa. Also included is a very interesting newcomer, Between Interval and a track by Nova himself with the artistic supervision of label manager and producer Vincent Villuis (AES Dana).

This live act by Vladislav Isaev, aka Scann-Tec was performed and recorded at the Morpheus Lounge and mastered for a better sound quality in the Ultimae studio. It presents a couple of revisited well-known tracks from the Russian artist as well as plenty of new music in his typical hypnotic downtempo style. 

The Nuit Hypnotique 4 event took place on 12th March 2011 at la Filature in Mulhouse. Previous editions were set at Les Dominicains de Haute Alsace in Guebwiller but we quickly reached the space limit so Les Dominicains partnered with La Filature to organise the 4th event in their venue within the frame of their Tran(s)e Festival. The Audience was invited to apprehend music in 3 physical positions, lying, sitting, standing. 

Ultimae presented live acts and DJ sets by AES Dana, Solar Fields and Krister Linder, Circular, Carbon Based Lifeforms with their two singers Karin and Ester, H.U.V.A. Network, Laurent Chanal, Scann-Tec, Tajmahal, SYNC24 and Hol Baumann with a background of video projections by Dave Arc-I and Harriett Cavanagh.

Ultimae proudly presents Connect.Ohm [ 9980 ] a collaborative album born of the musical encounter between composers Hidetoshi Koizumi aka Hybrid Leisureland and Alexandre Scheffer aka Cell respectively based in Tokyo and Paris. 

The composers discovered each other’s work through solo albums previously released on Ultimae, and on a brief meeting in Paris in 2011 decided to blend their worlds of sounds and textures. 
The outcome is subtle and emotive. 

The nine tracks released on [ 9980 ] compose a ballad in atmospheric realms where finely chiseled rhythms and fluid melodies are sustained by discreet downtempo grooves and deep drones. 
A pure delight for vast soundscapes audiophiles.

Evolution 1.1

Carbon Based Lifeforms are Johannes Hedberg and Daniel Segerstad from Sweden. CBL itself was formed in 1996, as an offshoot from other projects, but soon became their focal point, culminating in their first release on 'mp3.com' in 1998.

The goal of CBL is "to combine earth and space in fine-tuned, but still solid, musical visions, seldom forgetting the irreplaceable TB-303"

A Path Untold is the ever-expanding musical vision that producer Daniel Merrill (previously of Aligning Minds) has been slowly but steadily building for years, carefully constructing a sound that you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else. His alchemical style has evolved through observing, collecting and fusing together a variety of diverse elements from genres such as future garage, slow/deep house, downtempo/ambient, and idm. Additionally, through experiences with Peruvian medicine work and group-based healing ceremonies, a loving fascination with that culture has also weaved its way into his compositions. With the utmost honor and respect paid to these long-standing traditions and sounds, he feels it is in this fusion of mediums there lies an incredible opportunity to unify cultural realms. By bringing qualities of sacred healing experiences to the dancefloor and utilizing the limitless palette of modern electronic music production, the boundaries between worlds are blurred, using music to explore the balance between dualistic elements like illumination/darkness, past/future, tradition/innovation, euphoria/melancholy, natural/artificial, and individual/collective, all as an expression of unity and holistic oneness. Think mystical melodic story-telling through the use of explorative texture and harmonic bass presence, calling into existence the sound of alternate realms of beauty, intrigue and wonder.

The newest release from A Path Untold, ‘Wander to Serve’, is a full-length offering of 9 tracks that envelops the listener in a sonic world carefully constructed through a powerful combination of uniquely varied genre elements.

The album draws upon a personal account of transformation and transmutation, each track a form of therapy and self-expression shaped around the need to transmute pain and struggle into beauty and triumph. Over the course of Daniel’s 17-year journey as a music producer, his relentless exploration through the genre spectrum has allowed him to retain an objectivity necessary for the fusion of eclectic stylistic influences. His alchemical style has evolved over the years through observing, collecting and fusing together a variety of inspirations, bringing together elements from future garage, slow house, downtempo/ambient, world music and idm.

Additionally, through his experiences with Peruvian medicine work and group-based healing ceremonies, a loving fascination with that culture has also weaved its way into his compositions. ‘Wander to Serve’ is a tribute to the notion that we are here collectively to be of service to one another - to help liberate each other, awaken, and create. That “To fully be of service, you must allow your heart to truly wander” through the infinite spectrum of experience in all of its dualistic nature, including facing fears, sorrows and challenges along the path of keeping your heart fully open in order to give and receive, in cyclical oscillation. This process manifests itself as a transmutation of life events, the concept of turning poison into medicine, darkness into light.

Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
