Sound Garden is a series of events curated by my favorite art museum "Fondation Beyeler" in Riehen, near Basel. During the "Mondrian" exhibition I had the opportunity to play a diverse ambient set in their pavilion, surrounded by their beautiful garden.

THE LONG AWAITED RETURN OF LAIKA

Bluetech returns with a new single "Echoes of Orion" featuring the legendary Laika the Cosmonaut. The track takes us on a mesmerizing journey through the cosmos, with Laika exploring new galaxies and encountering luminous entities and undiscovered worlds. As a parable of transformation and change, Laika's story is a fitting voice for these times, and Bluetech is proud to continue her narrative.

This single also features two fantastic remixes by Misled Convoy and Somatoast, each adding their own unique touch to the track. Misled Convoy brings a deep atmospheric dub soundscape and intricate sound design to the remix, while Somatoast takes us on a psychedelic journey with his mesmerizing production and hyper-intelligent beat production.

The artwork for the single, created by Bluetech himself, features Laika the Cosmonaut gazing out onto a new world in the shadow of the Orion nebula, ready to continue her journey. "Echoes of Orion" is the first single in a series of releases that will be compiled for the final vinyl and full album release, providing unique perspectives from which to experience the album.

Over The Moon Music is the perfect home for this release and its cosmic themes, and we invite you to immerse yourself in this new journey with Laika and Bluetech's emotive electronic music.

Bubbleguns's music has always taken inspiration from the sounds of nature - the birds, the creatures, the animals… the sound of the wild. Life in the wilderness amongst the trees is cyclical and the ecosystem is balanced — death sets the precedence for life, life eventually returns to the ground and rebirth arrives. This is the cyclical rhythm of nature.

Kingdom of Trees represents his relationship with this rhythm. It’s a journey into the mystical world of trees - life-bearing canopies, cricket chirps, fireflies, birdsongs, monkey screams, owl hoots and grand roots; the all encompassing beauty of it all.

Our second mix is being released on Global Drone Day, an event created by Marie LeBlanc Flanagan of Weird Canada (https://droneday.org). This mix includes a new track by Chihei Hatakeyama from his forthcoming album, "Thousand Oceans," which will be released on Dronarivm in June on LP, CD, and digitally.

The mix, compiled by yours truly, Dmitry T., features tracks from various recent releases in the contemporary ambient/drone scene. These tracks have been a source of inspiration for me, and I hope they do the same for you. Drone on!

This song is a prayer and a blessing to Mother Earth.  It is an honor to present this to you.  This is a story of the volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii, Kilauea. Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.
