The 10-track story presents exquisite tracks by Christian Samsara, Martin Nonstatic, AES Dana, Erot, Lauge, Claudio PRC, SONMI451, MIKTEK and newcomer to our realm, ASC. 

It reveals remarkable nuance and depth of field, fuses intricate rhythmic patterns and atmospheric elements with evocative melodies conveying a gentle mesmerizing power. 
A feeling of wandering and softened yearning fills the air; isolation, according to Christian Samsara, heightens our senses and brings up a deeper resonance with music and nature.

Vasilis Kesalidis (aka Spinnet) and Ioannis Konstantios have been writing and releasing music together as One Arc Degree since 2011. Taking their first steps in discography with an original piece in the v/a compilation “Ambrosia” for Ultimae Records, One Arc Degree quickly gathered attention in the psychill and ambient scene with releases in seminal record labels such as Synphaera, Blue Tunes, Iboga, Ovnimoon and Microcosmos. With an impressive discography, spanning four LPs, a multitude of EPs and various remixes, One Arc Degree have solidified their place in the scene as a deeply emotive, electronic music duo. One Arc Degree have appeared in various music festivals & stages, in Greece and abroad, such as Samsara Festival in Hungary and Hadra Festival in France.

Far & Off, a collaborative creation by Vincent Villuis and Mihalis Aikaterinis, known as AES DANA and MIKTEK, has been fully rethought—remastered and graphically redesigned. Originally conceived from the essence of three EPs — Cut. | Alkaline | The Unexpected Hours — this album represents a poignant journey born from a period of extended detachment and isolation.

In today’s world, where life is saturated with incessant information, stimuli, and fragmented time, many feel overwhelmed. Some adjust, some collapse, and others, like the composers, feel the profound need to escape. Far & Off was not a spontaneous reaction but a slow culmination of necessity, not driven by any philosophical, spiritual, or religious belief, but as a natural response to the surrounding frenzy. This album is about seeking solitude, crossing into a different rhythm, and feeling the flow of time.

With Far & Off, the artists share this experience through keys and sounds, pads and patterns, glitches, and drums, aiming to create contrasted tales that highlight life’s paradoxes, from harshness to tranquility.

Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
