The 10-track story presents exquisite tracks by Christian Samsara, Martin Nonstatic, AES Dana, Erot, Lauge, Claudio PRC, SONMI451, MIKTEK and newcomer to our realm, ASC. 

It reveals remarkable nuance and depth of field, fuses intricate rhythmic patterns and atmospheric elements with evocative melodies conveying a gentle mesmerizing power. 
A feeling of wandering and softened yearning fills the air; isolation, according to Christian Samsara, heightens our senses and brings up a deeper resonance with music and nature.

Terrene stands as the first musical encounter between Danish and French composers Henrik Laugesen and Vincent Villuis respectively known as Lauge and AES Dana. 

A cornucopia of evanescent pads and elaborate rhythms with a distinctive downtempo vibe; a daedal story taking one on a magnetic peregrination through dense and contrasted sonic geographies, picturing the notion of temporality and space.

It was early 2013 when inner landscapes finally got
audible. Martin van Rossum aka Martin Nonstatic
moved to Cologne while Jens from Essen sent a
pleasant release offer. Several EPs, remix and
packaging projects got finished and the favorite
synthesizer was back on duty again, leading to the
first track „Inner Landscapes“ which in turn also
provided the album's title.
Martin took 14 months scrutinizing his workflow
involving both software and hardware to invent fresh
track concepts for his album. Constantly inspired by
the Rhenish environment with all of its movements
and encounters the album concentrated on those
„inner landscapes“. Playful and liberated he
combined field recordings with soundscapes, voices
and nature sounds into deep sequence paths.
Wave noises and Indonesian voices trickle onto the
album’s opening track „Behind The Window“ and the
dub oriented „Gilli Nangu“ while a fine dusty
crackle meets deep dub chords and sonic ideas
salvaged from earlier live sessions and synthesizer
recordings throughout the album, supported by
electro-ambient and minimal beat structures and
alternating rhythmic patterns, clearly showcasing
Martin’s extensive experience of both analyzing and
producing ambient and dub techno sounds.
Embedded between its otherworldly opening and a
dreamy outro are 11 aural landscapes forming a 74
minute tour-de-force, and after its long production
phase the emotional waveforms and clear ideas of
Martin Nonstatic’s „Inner Landscapes“ have finally
found their place and are ready to be heard on the
outside.

This is the 69th Ambient Sessions presented by Deep Electronics. The monthly released session brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. 

This months set is a special one. This weekend we celebrate the summer  solstice. The longest day of the year. This session is dedicated to this event and is created by Mahiane. Her session is called Collimate.

Dj, arranger, publisher, co-founder and manager of Ultimae records , Sandrine Gryson aka Mahiane explores music genres since 1985 and developped a keen ear and heart for atmospheric ambient, floating and organic sounds, idm, glitch, progressive techno and deep electro breakbeat; she occasionaly participates to projects such as Aes Dana project or Subgardens.

Ambient Sessions # 69 - Mahiane - Collimate (Summer Solstice mix)

Derived from the Latin “Ultimae Terrae,” meaning “the furthest places,” the name Ultimae reflects a profound theme of exploration. This concept is at the heart of Ultimae Records, an ambient music record label and publisher dedicated to transporting listeners to the outer edges of experience through sound and offering a space for introspection and discovery within the vastness of the mind and beyond.

In 1999, Vincent Villuis and Sandrine Gryson, also known as AES Dana and Mahiane, united over a shared passion for the immersive world of electronic music. This collaboration led to the birth of the label. Initially envisioned as a musical portal, Ultimae’s mission was to explore and disseminate the diverse expressions of Ambient music far and wide through the production of records and the establishment of an online shop.

Over the years, Ultimae has expanded beyond its original scope, evolving into a multifaceted company with sound design, post-production, and mastering studios based in Lyon, France, along with professional services in publishing, music licensing, and synchronization.
