D-wayne’s latest single ‘Loving You Always’ is not just an ode to love. It is more than that. The documentary, shot especially for this track, explains the musical and creative process behind it.

In this day and age it’s almost impossible to get noticed in the overpopulated EDM scene by just releasing music. All of D-wayne’s upcoming releases will therefore include a documentary: “D-wayne: Behind The Songs”. 

The documentary tells the story and origin of each and every track, starting with his latest track “Loving You Always”. How did D-Wayne and Jack McManus get together to collaborate on this track? What is the story behind the lyrics? And how did the musical background of these artists influence the end result? The documentary answers all those questions. 

Dwayne Megens (24), comments on the four minute documentary:
“Nowadays anybody and everybody can release records. A lot of those records come with a superficial message, or even worse, they are without any meaning at all. Myself, I always try to incorporate a meaningful message. I love to tell a story, as I do in my live sets and now in my documentaries as well”. 

The mini documentaries, which are available at services such as Apple TV, will be released throughout multiple singles. We’ll learn more and more about Dwayne as more music is released. Check out his Apple Music profile here.

The ever-driven and ambitious DJ and producer from Eindhoven, The Netherlands is climbing the ropes steadily. And with success. As one of the youngest – at the time 20 years old – DJs ever,  D-wayne had already booked a residency in ‘Drais Las Vegas’, in the city of Las Vegas. The same city where he also played together with Afrojack in club Omnia. His name paraded on flyers around the globe. Parties like Tomorrowland, Pacha NYC and Ushuaia Ibiza all carried his name on their flyers. Besides working with Afrojack on a regular basis, he also signed a contract with him. Dwayne has also remixed the likes of Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias and Chris Brown.

Besides being a versatile producer, D-wayne also has a pretty obvious signature sound: 
energetic – both underground and with a commercial touch. Electronic beats are merged with acoustic instruments such as strings, piano’s and trumpets, all of which can be heard in his latest track. A true dance and pop music hybrid. Each and every song has a very clear and thought-through message. “Loving You Always” is about embracing love, instead of running away from it. D-wayne wrote the song at the moment he was falling in love himself: “I want to touch people with my music and its message. While at the same time get them together and make them dance. With my live-shows and innovating productions I want to show my work to the world.”

About Jack McManus
The British Jack McManus (34) is a classical songwriter, and has written for some of the most well-known and top-notch artists such as The Chainsmokers, Thomas Jack and Benny Bennassi. 
The two musicians crossed paths 5 years ago at a writers camp where they established both a musical and friendly connection. Together, they have written an abundance of music, including their contribution to Afrojack’s album “Forget The World”.
