Resident of Seattle Washington, David Brian Pezzner, has been building on a solid career in the industry for some time now. After producing music as a duo he decided to go solo, and in 2010 he released his debut album on Freerange Records. He’s since had releases and remixes on labels such as Systematic Recordings, 8 Bit and Crosstown Rebels offshoot label RebelLION, receiving a massive response.

Pezzner is next up on the Visionquest imprint to deliver a stunning four track musical soundscape in the form of ‘The Island Fantastic EP’. On his upcoming release Pezzner had this to say:

The ‘Meteor’ EP artwork is an aerial photograph of a small glacial river in the Jostedal Valley of Norway, taken by Jan Erik Waider. A fine art photographer based in Hamburg, Germany, Jan is known for capturing abstract landscapes of the northern latitudes. With a focus on water, ice, and intricate natural patterns, his work reveals the beauty hidden in the subtle details of the world around us.

A rapidly warming Arctic threatens not only sea ice and biodiversity but the stability of the entire planet. Opening the compilation, Aplexo makes a powerful entrance with ‘Enough’, blending emotive vocals and deep grooves into a stirring, introspective cut. Enzo Monza follows with ‘Symphony 44’, a rhythm-driven track fueled by crisp percussion and subtle melodic touches - built for late-night sets. Closing the release, Aedan Terra delivers ‘Shadows Of Us’, a hypnotic journey through textured atmospheres and immersive rhythms. Showcasing the next wave of talent, ‘Fragments XXX’ is a striking addition to the series - blending emotion, energy, and innovation.

Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Fragments XXX’ artwork was captured at the South Pass of Fakarava, a renowned dive site famously called ‘The Wall Of Sharks’. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

French Polynesia is home to the world’s largest shark sanctuary, and the remarkable abundance of sharks here is a testament to the success of their conservation efforts. CRIOBE is a leading marine research institution investigating how sharks contribute to reef health and resilience. By monitoring shark populations and their ecological roles, CRIOBE generates vital data that informs science-based conservation policies across French Polynesia’s marine ecosystems.
