Auerbach Tonträger is aiming to support and release music that -- due to a predominantly acoustic setting and a tranquil character -- can be described as contemporary folk music in the widest sense of the word. Contemporary insofar as the artists often include modern influences in their individual brands of nature-inspired or folk music. While the world around us is getting louder all the time, the music released on Auerbach is like a multi-facetted counterpart, based on the self-awareness of totally different musicians. Be it serene soul-searching, various settings-to-music of landscapes, or vital and personal interpretations of traditional motifs -- one thing is for sure: Auerbach Tontraeger is not here to impose restrictions on the new Folk, but to unite visions old and new with an individual touch and a lot of feeling.
