The music compiled in "Ritual Rhythms (of the Obscure Mediterranean Souls)" moves between styles such as Abstract, Modern Classical, Experimental, Downtempo, and Ambient. We must highlight the jazz nuances of pieces such as "Communal Luxury" and the ambient- psychedelics excursions of Pierre Rousseau in Silent Energy, a soundtrack mixed by Nicolas Chaix (I: CUBE) and conceived to be the soundtrack of one of the last parades by Japanese designer Issey Miyake.

The basic tracks for some of these songs were scattered through other music I had recorded over the last ten years.  Quarantine has given me the time to hear some of this music with fresh ears. In most instances dozens of instrument tracks were stripped away to find some forgotten core that made me nod or smile.  Then I started again.  All new recording has been done since the start of lock down and tries to put a sound on the subtle dislocation of a global disaster that is mostly (for me) expressed in my daily life as an absence, a taking away rather than a presence; a distantly felt thing.
