Hot on the heels of Helsloot's superb 'Let's Pretend' single in April come two new remixes of it by Tube & Berger and Saint Evo. 

Helsloot's original was quickly picked up by an array of DJs and dropped in a number of great sets. It was the latest in a string of fresh singles from the Dutch DJ and the extended mix is included again here. It is a hypnotic and rolling house tune with lush chords that bring plenty of cosmic vibes. 

First to remix it are German mainstays and Kittball Records founders Tube & Berger. This pair has amassed over 100 million streams to their name, have scored a number of Beatport Top 5 hits and are regulars at leading parties like ANTS in Ibiza and the legendary Tomorrowland. Their take on 'Let's Pretend' is a light and airy, disco-tinged and bouncy house cut. The scintillating chords bring light, a steamy vocal layers in the soul and the whole thing takes you into another dimension. 

Saint Evo is the founder of Celsius Degree Records and hails from the savannah plains of Kajiado County, the home of the famed Maasai people. He is a pioneer of the Afro house sound in East Africa and has collaborated with a multitude of producers and vocalists from across the globe. Here he remixes 'Let's Pretend' into a chunky groove with delicate synths and starry-eyed melodies. The percussion brings rich Afro house vibes and the vocals become spiritual chants that cast a majestic spell. 

This is a vital package that brings some fresh new influences to the great original from Helsoot.

This EP titled "Connections" brings forth two captivating tracks: "Connections" and "No Reason," taking listeners on an unparalleled sonic journey. Aquarius Ezra, a prodigious 20-year-old producer, DJ, and vocalist hailing from Hungary, is on a quest to define his unique style within the realm of Melodic Techno. His continuous experimentation with new sounds and production methods sets him apart. With 7 years of electronic music production experience, Ezra has been releasing his music on multiple worldwide labels since 2021. In this EP, Aquarius Ezra aimed to create a sound that departs from his previous experimental work. The intention was to craft tracks with an industry-standard sound to ensure they resonate with the right audience and inspire dancing wherever the music is heard. The artist draws inspiration from the modern sound of Anyma and Massano from Afterlife. When creating music, Aquarius Ezra firmly believes in maintaining creative flow, avoiding wasteful hours in the studio. Consequently, analog equipment is eschewed, and all production is conducted in-the-box for efficiency. This approach results in spending no more than 8-10 hours on a track from inception to mix, a key element that enables sustained creative flow. "Connections" is a track that gradually builds, introducing an uplifting synth in the break that transports listeners to another world, before culminating in a dynamic explosion. The heavy lead sound and bassline ignite the party atmosphere. On the other hand, "No Reason" serves as a club anthem, characterized by its heavy bassline, contemporary sound design, and the perfect melodic techno groove that compels dancing.

The first release of the year from Hot Trax comes from the German duo Raumakustik, with Jamie Jones on remix duty. Having had recent releases on a Grain Audio, Ipoly & Mangue Records, “Raider” is their debut on the Hot Creations subsidiary.

Raumakustik deliver a high energy and rhythmic track with ‘Raider’. The industrial tech-heavy sounds are perfectly mixed with catchy drums and a calling bell. Over on the B-side, Jamie Jones delivers a darker remix to drive music lovers to the dancefloor.

Sebastian and Volker are Raumakustik. They have been creating music together for a number of years and believe in creating tracks that will not only bring listeners to the dancefloor but also stay in their memory.

Jamie Jones launched Hot Trax in 2012 after wanting to create a label that moved away from the well-known and popular sounds of Hot Creations. It has been described as a label for the “headstrong” with previous releases coming from Patrick Topping and wAFF.

It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks.
