Mother Mary (she/they) is Alex Naylor, a second-generation settler living on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples (currently known as Vancouver, BC).
She brings together elements of UK bass, breaks, emotionally-charged techno, and dark 2-step, always with one eye on the dance floor.
When not in the rave, you can find her planning immersive audiovisual dance experiences with the Radiate crew. In the daytime hours she works in mental health and addictions as a clinician.

She is currently based in Vancouver, BC where we recently had an opportunity to chat in the BSide Radio Studio. I have always enjoyed her sets when I get the chance to see her perform live as a Bass Coast staple! With 20 years on the decks, you can trust that she knows how to steer the dancefloor with laser precision! 

"Junglist since I was 16, I have to admit that D’n’B hasn’t been something I can claim a lot of experience in. So, for this mix I was really excited to explore. After scouring the internet to pinpoint my style – something that would bring some of the darker vibes of d’n’b and all the rudeness of jungle. Well, genre reveal? She’s a minimalist jump up queen (lol). 
I had fun on a sun dampled afternoon recording this mix, and I hope it makes you screwface skank too.

3ZB33 [pron. E-Z-B] Broke into the electronic music scene of Denver, CO early 2020, known best for liquid, soulful, melodic drum & bass DJ sets. Originally from a small farm town in Colorado, not the epicenter of electronic music, she moved to the city in 2019 hoping Denver would fulfill its reputation as “the bass capital” to spark a music career. 

B finds inspiration in Devner’s rich musical heritage and underground club culture. She shows passion for pushing boundaries, recently exploring new genres; Jungle Breaks, Deep Dub, and Acid House, incorporating them into performances fluidly, while staying true to liquid DNB roots. Because of this, she has a unique sound that continues to evolve and transport listeners through musical dimensions.

Passage, better known in the community as Whitney, is an emerging DJ and producer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Her selections evoke emotion with a fluid and commanding soundscape. Playing with any iteration of bass and breaks - not limited to dubstep, grime, drum & bass, garage and dancehall - Passage always provides a distinct array of strange and beautiful sounds.

Surrounded by music and dance throughout her life, Whitney is a creator consistently expanding her horizons - giving her the ear and the edge apparent in her diverse sets. Some notable performances include playing at The Womp (after winning their 2023 DJ contest) and Electric Sky Festival (SK), and opening for taste-makers like: Truth, Hypho, The Librarian and Joe Nice. Currently, she is continuing her journey of production that began at NVMA Studio, and is an ever-growing element of Umbral Sound System - including the host and curator of Umbral’s monthly mix series on Sub FM.
