I cry everytime I listen to this. The first 2 parts of this mix get me every time and I listen to it daily.

In his debut release on vibe.digital Recordings, Gladkill strikes the listeners heart in his ‘Cold Comfort’ EP, made for the veteran bass music connoisseur and newcomer alike.

‘Words Inside’ is a heartfelt ballad, setting the tone for the emotional direction of the release. The title track, ‘Cold Comfort,’ maintains the emotional edge and brings the listener into a new depth, both icy and sanguine, while ‘The Way You Like’ is a well built, purple bass inspired banger, suited for nightclubs worldwide. ‘Waterways’ brings it back to Gladkill’s roots and what made him the west coast bass aficionado in the first place, with gorgeous soundscapes in the intro and proper, danceable bass stabs at the drop, and ‘Fragile’ rounds us out with a perfect, vibey set finisher which completes the message for the EP, hitting the balance between attentive poignancy, and energetic brawn.

Alex Jensen aka Sorsari has been producing and DJing for over a decade, and has been able to create a foundation for himself within the underground bass music scene.   Releasing on notable labels such as Terrorhythm, ProgRAM, Sable Valley and Vision, you can expect to hear a blend of styles that range from slow and hypnotizing instrumentals, to faster paced palettes of dubstep, grime and footwork.  He has had a historical impact within the genre of wave, but has also proved to be a multi-faceted producer and DJ within the different genres of electronic music with a core focus on modern sound system culture.  Sorsari provokes the deeper emotions we can feel when we listen to music together with encouragement.

How innocent and unassuming, they all thought, the sonic union of Howl and MisfortuneCat. No one suspected the chaos their combined artillery would bring. That the incessant battering of bombs dropped at 140 bpm would rip apart the fabric of spacetime; and on the other side of that portal, PuppyCat emerged from the wreckage. In this timeline all bets are off. Nobody is safe. 

Since 2020 PuppyCat has been combing through the aftermath, stockpiling tracks, collecting dubs, and levelling the dance at festivals like Shambhala, Wicked Woods, Altitude, Heartburn and Neon Jungle. PuppyCat is a cornerstone of Portal Crew Productions and they have ambitious plans in the works. Coming off of a massive summer they are embracing the cold and rolling heavy into a winter run of shows. Bring your gunfingers - they’ll provide the ammo.
