After their 2020 debut on Diynamic, Far&High return to the label with the 4-track „Mannequin“ EP.

Title track „Mannequin“ featuring the sultry voice of Dasha Meelo lets you take a walk through the secluded darkroom. Silhouettes of slowly moving bodies, reflections on polished latex and the occasional flash of red light sharpen all your senses. Feel the temperature rise.

„Again“ is a highly cinematic piece, with dark keys and the ethereal voice of singer Annett. Nifty rave-stabs and metal-riffs paint the arrangement even more colorful.

The frantic lead of „Like You“ , a collaboration with Yo Speed is a beast that’s hard to tame. Industrial feel under pressure.

And closing off Far&High’s EP is „Repeater“, an all-out peak time thriller. No chance to not move to this.

Solid Steel (2nd September) Our guest in Hour 1 this week is Murlo, who earlier this year collaborated with recent guest Deadboy on their DBM project. He is also part of the Mixpak roster (who won the Red Bull Culture Clash in June) and dropped another Rihanna remix that followed his previous remix of 'Work' that clocked up over a million hits. On top of that, he's launched www.murlo.tv, a website to display his 'interludes' series of short hand-drawn animations and you can also catch him regularly on Rinse FM and NTS . He told us;
"The majority of the mix is made of tunes that have had a big impact on me and the way I approach making music for the past few years. It isn't a full on retrospective tho; there are some old bits in there but also some new things I've recently been listening to and playing out a lot in sets. Oh and not to forget I've popped some new unreleased bits in too."

Resina is the alias of Karolina Rec, a cellist/ composer based in Warsaw, who signed to 130701 having sent in this album as a hugely impressive demo late last year. A very accomplished performer with a background in Polish underground music, this eponymous album is her solo debut and sees a rich, atmospheric re-imagining of a Polish music rooted in a feeling for indigenous nature / landscape and realised via an intuitive, experimental approach to playing.

A fantastic debut release, ‘Resina’ is an immersive and deeply enchanting album, which unveils a unique and striking new talent.

Absys Records Limited sub-label shows up again, now with this "Deep Dubstep Compilation". Twelve tracks, most of them in 140 bpm tempo, are brought to our attention by various artists from all around the world, many of whom previously contributed their work to the label with great outcome. As Absys had proven before, quality is constant, but each single track differs in atmosphere, as the range of influences is very wide. We are cruising from dark and brooding concerns in "Inhale" and to the lighter touch of summer in Barefoot's "Sundance", ethnic elements in "Unsafe Operations" are moving towards some catchy vocals and stabs in LeStR "Vapour", sense of ethereal feeling of "Queen of Heaven" to overwhelming power of doubt in Nuage's "Let me Believe" – it is all here.
