"Hakana" is an ambient collaboration between modular artist Yumi Iwaki (Tokyo/LA) and koto/modular artist Kasson Crooker (Seattle).  The two met at Synthplex in LA where they both performed and agreed that a fusing of their unique styles would beget something wonderful.  Yumi first created lush beds of synths and processed samples, with Kasson then performing the traditional Japanese koto heavily processed through modulars. Yumi's spoken word poetry blends the idea of 果てない (hatenai / endless) with 儚い (hakanai / fleeting)  ~ please enjoy our new song!

This EP was created with the intention to activate the dorment memories of our cosmic origins residing deep within the codings of our DNA. It's an initiation ceremony into the medicine of „Taita Inti, Grandfather Sun“ intented to help us to ground and embody the higher vibrational energies emanating from the Galactic Central Sun „Hunab Ku“. It seeks to awake our divine being and integrate our multi-dimensional aspects into this current human experience. A gentle yet powerful reminder that NOW is the time to step into our full potential as creator-beings embracing all life as a sacred expression of the one prime creator.

In deep meditation Xuqutopi connected with his higher-self and received light codes and
starseed-activations that he translated into music during a recording session charged with powerful full moon energies. Accompanied by Stefan Kronsteiner on his self-built spirit flutes Xuqutopi has created organic tracks and atmospheric sound landscapes that evoke a deep sense of peace and serenity which allows us to feel home and at ease and provides the ideal soundtrack for far reaching explorations into the uncharted territories of our infnite consciousness.

Xuqutopi - Nativo Cosmico

On the Roof of Imagination is a Sound Healing Journey that I originally created to be performed as a meditation at the end of Ecstatic Dances. This time I performed it as a meditation in itself to celebrate the Winter Solstice, Christmas, and the beginning of a new year for my good friends at Imagination Hostel in Arambol, Goa, India.

The ambiences you hear during the journey are a collection of recordings that I've gathered over the last 2 years while traveling.  Each holds the energy of a powerful place or moment.  You can hear birds at sunrise on a lake in the mountains of Canada, Argan seeds in my hands in the south of Morocco, gentle waves under the full moon from the Indian Ocean in Kerela and more.  You can also hear clips of the Sasak villagers of Lombok, Indonesia, singing and laughing, as well as parts of the traditional sunset ceremony at the Uluwatu temple in Bali.  I've blended together all of these elements to create an ambience that captures and emanates a part of what I have experienced on my journey.

Everything about this performance is completely improvised... I take in the energy of the moment and my surroundings and channel it directly into the music.

The native flute I play in the beginning and the end was handmade by friend @masterskayfleit (you can find him and his epic flutes on Instagram!)

The latest EP by Sutkērī is a tribute to the elements that enable life on our precious planet. These are water, air and soil. For many humans these elements seem to be available without any limit. But the opposite is the truth. A growing number of people experience it, like shortages of water, desertification, erosion, the loss of soil to grow food, etc.. Some of us even ask themselves, if the planet can sustain such a huge population of humans. And the answer is „yes“, if we treat those life-spending elements with respect and dignity. We need to use all of our knowledge and skills. And we should not hesitate nor trivialize our sins for short term profits. We owe it to our children and to life itself.

We created this sound journey with the intention to invite the listener to tune in and reconnect with mother earth and listen to her loving guidance for those times of great transitions and awakening of humanity.

The Solfeggio Frequency 528hz is supposed to be a frequency that harmonizes, repairs and activates our DNA. Some say it's a divine frequency that helps to manifest miracles.

The tone C# is believed to be the resonant tone reflecting the frequency of mother earth.

Tao is an offering to the present moment.  Honoring the Kotamo & Monochord instrument played by André Lehner. Kotamo a combination of a Koto, a tampura and a monochord. From the japanese culture and bridge between different cultures in a fascinating way.  Singing with him, expressing my gratitude for the beauty of his presence and support during the recording process with the alchemist Tom Xuqutopi, who was our sound engineer during the recording of the album and who also did the mixing. Deep gratitude from my heart to my two brothers for their dedication and their quality of presence and listening which is also part of the creation of this moment, Essência."

"Machi is the name of the feminine shaman, medicine women healing with her voice, channeling through the visible and invisible world in the mapuche culture in Chile and Argentina. My song and offering Machi ma, also flowed through me for the first time in front of the sea on Chiloe Island in Chile, like water, uniting the worlds, like the mother who takes care of all of us inside each one, connecting with my ancestral roots, the language of the indigenious Mapuche from Chile. Connected to this roots and love inside me, i sang this song in front of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala, awakening  this ancestral and universal memory, with the waves of the lake and the song of the birds, that ancestral vision opened up again in me, feeling the Heart of Essência. I feel very grateful for the moment we recorded the song in Austria, with the support of André Lehner playing the Kailani, and RAV Vast, when I was singing and playing the shamanic drum. We also recorded it all at once, connected to the present moment."
